LSUC Bencher Election 2011

The Law Society of Upper Canada (LSUC) is the self-regulatory body for lawyers and paralegals in the Canadian province of Ontario. It is governed by a board of directors known as "Benchers" with elections held every four years. The 2011 election will be held on April 29, 2011 with voting taking place through mail-in paper ballots and by internet.
40 Benchers will be elected including 20 from inside the City of Toronto and 20 from other regions within the province of Ontario. To be eligible, a candidate must be a licensed lawyer with LSUC and whose license had not been suspended at the time of nomination.
