LSU Bowling Team

The LSU Bowling Team competes in the Southwest Intercollegiate Bowling Conference (SWIBC) with the United States Bowling Congress Collegiate division. They compete in four SWIBC events around the South each year as well as three tier one tournaments in Atlanta and Las Vegas. They practice at local Baton Rouge bowling centers twice a week, normally on Mondays and Thursdays lasting approximately 2-3 hours.
In 2008-2009 and 2009-2010, for the first time in over thirty years, the man's team advanced to Sectionals, finishing 62nd and 57th, respectfully, in the United States. The woman's team also advanced to Sectionals in Chattanooga in the 2009-2010 season, finishing 59th in the nation. This was the first time the woman's team qualified for Sectionals. Both years they where placed in the Chattanooga, TN sectional. They are a promising team with all but one bowler coming back in 2010-2011. They return all of their bowlers in the 2010-2011 season.
