Louisiana Lightning Clear Sour Mash Whiskey is an un-aged whiskey produced in Amite City, Louisiana, in the Heart of Tangipahoa Parish. It was the first
whiskey available on the market that was made in Louisiana. It has been awarded seven medals at various
tasting competitions across the United States. It was listed as one of fourteen distilleries to visit in America by Canadian magazine The Loop.
Awards Earned and Reviews
At the Denver International Spirits Competition Louisiana Lightning was awarded a gold medal in a double blind tasting competition.
It was awarded a Silver rating of "Highly Recommended" at the Beverage Tasting Institute in Chicago, Illinois.
At the San Francisco World Spirits Competition Louisiana Lightning Clear Sour Mash Whiskey was awarded both a bronze medal in tasting and a bronze medal in packaging design.
At the Straight Up Texas International Spirits Competition it was awarded a bronze medal.
Louisiana Lightning was also reviewed by Proof66 in 2014.
In May of 2014, Louisiana Lightning received a Silver Medal at the Los Angeles International Spirits Competition.
