Louis Magnifico

Louis Anthony Magnifico (July 11, 1974, Memphis, Tennessee) wrote, produced, and directed two motion pictures and several short films in the 1990s in Memphis, around the time that many studios began filming major motion pictures such as The Firm in Memphis. In addition to his film credits, Magnifico has been involved in the local Memphis music scene for several years, most notably with Kiss Me Quick, Tuesday Sun, and currently with Vintage. He is the founder of Digital Deacons, a creative technology firm producing radio and TV commercials, websites, and email marketing campaigns. Most notably, he and his wife are known as The Traveling Twosome. The Traveling Twosome produce a TV Show (A Day in the Life), a national radio show ("The Traveling Twosome Show"), and a travel and entertainment website.
Music career
Magnifico began his journey in the Memphis music scene during the early 1990s alternative rock movement. He served as songwriter and bassist for Kiss Me Quick, until their disbandment in the mid 1990s. Kiss Me Quick released one album, Hounds Tooth Rock, on the independent SuperCar Records, which was owned by Memphian Daniel Jones (who now serves the local community as "Memphis Jones"). For a brief period of time, the three-piece Kiss Me Quick brought on a fourth member to the band, John Williams, who was a cousin of Survivor's Jimi Jamison.
Magnifico is currently a songwriter and bassist for Vintage, with the band led by his wife, Char Magnifico, on vocals.
The Traveling Twosome and A Day in the Life
Louis and Char Magnifico are known as The Traveling Twosome. They host a travel and entertainment website, air a weekly radio show, and produce a TV show, A Day in the Life. A Day in the Life showcases the Magnifico's as they take on somebody's job, hobby, or town for a day or two. Episodes have included Louis and Char becoming dairy goat farmers (they made goat milk soap and goat milk cheese); professional wrestlers (Char won her match against Louis during the 2010 SummerClash event in Little Rock, Arkansas); blues musicians (the twosome discovered the origins of the Delta Blues in Clarksdale, MS); and stage magicians (they performed with Maxwell Blade).
