Loud Online

Loud Online is a heavy metal and heavy rock webzine based in Sydney, Australia. The zine was launched to cover the spheres of heavy metal and heavy rock from every angle: up close, far away, from underneath. History Loud began as a program on community radio in 1995, expanded into a print zine later that year and was originally launched on the web in mid-1996. Over the intervening years, the zine and the site have come and gone - the zine took extended breaks between 1999 and 2001 and again between 2007 and 2009 and the original Loud website finally came to an end when GeoCities died, although the last time it was updated was 10 December 2007. Following a full-colour relaunch of the Loud zine in early 2009, it was finally decided in August 2010 to instead concentrate on the web and hence Loud Online was born.
