About 58% of its turnover after making the payouts are handed over to the Mauritian government which in itself is a very commendable act. The government uses this money for educational, social, sports and health projects. The first draw was performed on the 7th of November 2009 with a special jackpot of 12 millions. Otherwise, once the jackpot is won, the starting jackpot falls back to 5 millions which is the minimum jackpot guaranteed by Lottotech for any draw.
