Logitech MX-510

The Logitech MX-510 was a corded optical mouse produced by Logitech in the mid-2000s.
It was later replaced by the Logitech MX-518 which shares many design similarities. The MX-510 looks exactly the same as its predecessor, the Logitech MX-500, but the metallic design on top is either blue or red, instead of the silver of the MX-500.
Features
The MX-510 had 5 mouse buttons plus the scroll wheel (pressing down on it gave you MOUSE3) with MOUSE4 and MOUSE5 being the two buttons on the left-side of the mouse. Because of the asymmetry of the mouse, the MX-5 series was really suitable only for right-handed users. The mouse also had three additional buttons in the middle which could be re-programmed with the accompanying drivers. They defaulted to a scroll-up and scroll-down pair which were above and below the scroll wheel, and the 8th button was intended to help the user quickly switch between programs.
