Vincent Logan Watkins (born August 29, 1989 in Wichita, Kansas) is a minor league baseball infielder who was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 21st round of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft. He is currently on the roster of the Peoria Chiefs, the Single-A Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Early life Watkins attended Goddard High School in Goddard, Kansas. Draft Watkins was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 21st round of the 2008 amateur draft. He signed with the team on June 27, , receiving a reported signing bonus of $600,000. Pro career *2008 (Rookie) - Watkins batted .325 with the Arizona League Cubs in 80 at-bats. *2009 (A-) - Batted .326 with the Boise Hawks. *2010 (A) - Batted .261 with the Peoria Chiefs. |
