Lo-fi Goth

Lo-fi Goth is a type of Gothic Rock which grew out of the Deathrock revival in the late 2000s. It is characterized by a minimal droning minor-key wall of sound with heavy reverb and intentionally poor sound quality. Lo-fi Goth albums are oftentimes distributed exclusively on cassette tape. Labels with association to the scene include Jerkwave Tapes, Sacred Bones Records, Vade Retro Records, Family Time, Yellow Goth, and Night People.
