Elizabeth Kathryn Meyer (born December 29, 1987) is an American dance/pop singer and songwriter. Early career and childhood Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Meyer began performing at a young age. Due to her father's job, she ended up living in Frankfurt, Germany by age 9. At age 10, she began professional vocal training. Meyer had been in numerous musical theater productions as a child, but her big break was landing the lead role of Annie in the European Broadway musical "Annie" while living in Frankfurt. Stefan Benz of Allstar Music Productions approached her after a show, and she headed immediately into the studio. She recorded a pop demo at age 13, but decided to finish high school before pursuing music full time. In high school, Meyer was a Varsity Cheerleader and active member of Teenage Republicans. Current career After posting some of her old demos on MySpace, producer Stephen Singer contacted Meyer about recording some dance tracks. Singer was so impressed with Meyers' vocal and songwriting skills that he and superstar producer Axel Konrad of Groove Coverage signed her to a production deal. Meyer soon penned and recorded the single "All I Want," released on label Ministry Of Sound . The song climbed the European charts steadily, peaking in the top ten on several countries' Dance Charts. The follow up single, a cover of Mariah Carey 's "Without You," which was released by Konrad's label, Suprime Records, also made the charts. She currently has several new songs in production which should be released soon. Personal life Meyer is an alumnae of Kappa Alpha Theta and Michigan State University graduate, having majored in Criminal Justice and Political Science. She is still very involved with her sorority, is the Sweetheart of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, and is active in conservative politics. She currently is working for Congressman . Meyer is now working on completing her first full length album.
