Light is a known fan of William Shakespeare, and thus Stage2 aims to produce a Shakespeare at least every 18 months. These have included Twelfth Night which was revisited in 2009, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Much Ado About Nothing and The Tempest, which will also be revisited in 2011. Stage2 will also revisit Romeo and Juliet, in April 2011.
The most recent production Stage2 have produced under Light's direction is Shakers. The next production will be a world premiere of Claire Dowie's Arsehammers, and The Year of the Monkey, converted from monologues to two one-act full cast plays and presented as a double-bill. Stage2 received exclusive permission from Dowie, as the company's patron, to adapt and perform her work.
The performance venues for each productions have varied, with the most recent shows performing at the Crescent Theatre (both in the Main House and in the secondary, more intimate studio), whilst previous productions by Light and Stage2 have been performed at the Patrick Centre, the Birmingham Hippodrome and the mac.
