This is a list of organ scholars at British cathedrals and parish churches, the principal purpose of which is to demonstrate the historic importance of the Organ Scholarship scheme to English Church Music. As is evident from the list, the organ scholarship scheme offered by some British cathedrals and churches has been one of the key training opportunities for people who later become professional organists. With its foundation in the English choral tradition, many of those who have taken organ scholarships go on to further organ scholarships at University and then to be Organists and Directors of Music at Cathedrals in Britain and abroad.
