Red Puckett
Red Puckett is a little girl and the main protagonist of the films, who usually wears a red riding hood, passed down to her from relatives of preceding generations. She is a delivery girl for Granny Puckett's goody business, Granny Puckett’s Goodies, but yet longs to explore the world beyond the forest, in which she lives. She is the granddaughter of Granny. She is also well-trained in the martial arts. Her aliases are Little Red Riding Hood and The Girl in the Hood. Her friends are Granny, Wolf W. Wolf, Kirk Kirkendall, Twitchy the Squirrel, and Nicky Flippers. Her enemies are Boingo and the Evil Ski Team. She was last seen in a red hood with a basketful of muffins, dreaming of far away places. She is voiced by Anne Hathaway (Hayden Panettiere in the second film).
Boingo the Bunny
Boingo the Bunny is a cute, fuzzy rabbit and the main antagonist of the films, who turns out to be the infamous Goody Bandit at the end of the first film. He is Red's enemy, whose occupation is a cable car operator. He has his own cave lair and an evil ski team work for him. When he hops, his hops make little chattery noises. Boingo works for the Muffin Man (until he got fired). Later on in the first film, he helped Wolf and Twitchy find a shortcut to Granny's cottage by having them wander through a very dark and creepy cave, then ride a little cart to get to Granny's. His henchmen (and friends) are the Evil Ski Team. His enemies are Red, Granny, Wolf, Kirk, and Twitchy. Boingo loves carrot crumpets, as seen earlier in the first film. He used to be Red's best friend. In a fight, he uses his ear as a weapon (which he calls "The Ear"). He is later incarcerated by the forest's police force, and Twitchy gets a quick picture of the villain before he is sent to prison, alongside his minions ("Say "Parcheesi!" "). In the second film, Hoodwinked 2: Hood vs. Evil, Boingo is let out of prison by the Troll by accident. He is voiced by Andy Dick.(:
The Evil Ski Team
This team consists of four human members: Dolph, Vincent, Liza and Keith. They were hired by Boingo to help him in his goody-stealing. Near the end of the first film, Boingo asked Keith to change his name to "Boris" instead, frustrating Keith. Dolph is a fairly obvious parody of Arnold Schwarzenegger, and speaks with an Austrian accent. He is voiced by Ty Edwards, while Vincent, Lesa and Keith are voiced by , , and .
Granny Puckett
Granny Puckett is an old woman, who, aside from being Red’s grandmother, is the owner of the most famous goody business in the forests, Granny Puckett’s Goodies. Her occupations are a goody baker, a granny, a skydiver, a snowboarder, and a mountain climber. She also doesn't lead the life of an ordinary granny and decided to live her life to the extreme, whilst participating in extreme sports whenever she has the opportunity to. Her aliases are Triple G, Grandma, and Lola. Her friends are Red, Wolf, Kirk, Twitchy, and her ski team. Her enemies are Boingo and the Evil Ski Team. Her catch phrases are "Bring it, honey!", "Gotta go, munchkin!" and "Banzai!". She is alleged to be the notorious Goody Bandit. She was last seen flying down a gnarly, steep ski slope. She is voiced by Glenn Close.
Wolf W. Wolf
Wolf W. Wolf is a wolf, who is an investigative journalist, similar to Fletch. He is sarcastic and has a quick wit. His aliases are the Big Bad Wolf, Granny, Rick Shaw Health Inspector, Sheep, Basketball Player, Candy Delivery Man, the Paperboy, the Substitute Teacher, and the Building Inspector (near the end of the first film). His occupation is an under-the-covers reporter. His best friend and sidekick is Twitchy, who often takes pictures of everything around him. Together, they go undercover to record stories for Wolf’s column, Facts and Fairy Tales in The Once Upon a Times newspaper. His friends are Red, Granny, Kirk, Twitchy, and Nicky. His enemies are Boingo and the Evil Ski Team. Before, Wolf was Red's enemy. It is also revealed that he was raised by wolves earlier in the first film. He was last seen on the prowl (for a story, that is). He is voiced by Patrick Warburton.
Twitchy the Squirrel
Twitchy the Squirrel is a hyperactive squirrel and sidekick to Wolf. He is a photographer. He and Wolf go undercover to record stories for the Facts and Fairy Tales in The Once Upon a Times newspaper. Twitchy never drinks coffee, most likely due to the increased hyperactivity it gives him, though near the end of the first film, it shows him drinking a cup of coffee with caffeine, that makes him run super-fast and sprint out of control. His aliases are Super Squirrel and the Fastest Squirrel in the Woods. He is always running and talking too fast. His friends are Red, Granny, Wolf, Kirk, and Nicky. His enemies are Boingo and the Evil Ski Team. He often takes pictures around him, which go with the stories, that Wolf records. He is voiced by Cory Edwards.
Kirk Kirkendall
Kirk Kirkendall is an overweight German actor, who longs to act as a woodsman in the Paul’s Bunion Cream commercial, but further more longs to sing with his favorite singing band, The Happy Yodelers. For a part-time job, he sells schnitzel-on-a-stick to the children of the forest, but that changed when someone robbed his schnitzel truck. When Jimmy Lizard, the director of the Paul's Bunion Cream commercials, gives Kirk a call-back and asks him to find his "inner woodsman", the actor takes things a bit too seriously, and begins to chop down much of the forest trees, that the animals call "Home." Things get even worse when Kirk tries to chop down a giant redwood tree, but the tree creaks forward and Kirk gets chased downhill to Granny's cottage, crashing through the window, scaring Red, Granny, and Wolf. His aliases are the Woodsman, the Schnitzel Man and Dolph (near the end of the first film). His friends are Red, Granny, Wolf, Twitchy, and Nicky. His enemies are Boingo and the Evil Ski Team. His catch phrase is "Paul's Bunion Cream has the soothing formula to make your bunions head for the hills!". He wields an axe without a license. He was last seen eating schnitzel. His face is also sometimes similar to Henry the Green Engine from Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends. At the end of the first film, Kirk fulfills his dream and becomes the famous yodeler, that he longed to be. He is voiced by Jim Belushi, but is voiced by Martin Short in Hoodwinked 2: Hood vs. Evil.
Chief Grizzly
Chief Theodore "Ted" Grizzly is a tough and aggressive grizzly bear, who is the police chief of the woods’ police force. He is a know-it-all, who jumps to conclusions. He is very gruff, short-tempered, impatient, and is willing to arrest anyone, whether they are guilty or not. He speaks with a macho attitude and is rivals with Nicky. He wears a dark blue police hat and suit, and wears dark blue pants with a belt and black shoes. He can't take a joke. He is voiced by Xzibit.
Officer Bill Stork
Officer William "Bill" Stork is a talkative stork, who is Chief Grizzly’s subordinate on the woods’ police force. His occupation is a police officer. When Chief Grizzly told him that Kirk was a loon, he told Chief Grizzly that his mother is half loon. He often annoys (and bothers) Chief Grizzly. He has a beak for finding troublemakers. He is voiced by Anthony Anderson.
Detective Nicky Flippers
Detective Nicholas "Nicky" Flippers is a long-legged, suave, and debonair private detective frog, whose deductive powers are great at solving puzzles (and crimes). He is in charge of the Happily Ever After Agency, as well as being another member of the woods’ police force and was a very popular dancer at a disco club in his mid-20's, getting his nickname, "Flippers." He is said to be a spoof on Nick Charles from The Thin Man, or Hercule Poirot, and even has a wire fox terrier, the same breed as Asta, Nick Charles' dog. Unlike Chief Grizzly, Nicky is a bit more patient with the five suspects, Red, Granny, Wolf, Kirk, and Twitchy. He is voiced by David Ogden Stiers.
Japeth the Goat
Japeth the Goat is a singing hermit goat, who lives in an old shack on the north side of the mountain. He claims that 37 years ago, a mountain witch put a spell on him, forcing him to sing everything he says, but it turns out that he can talk (without singing) on certain occasions. Japeth sang the song, "Be Prepared." Red refers to him as "Mr. Goat". He is always prepared, and he changes his horns for every occasion. He is voiced by Benji Gaither.
Nicky's Wire Fox Terrier
Nicky's Wire Fox Terrier is Nicky's pet dog, who is very loyal to him. He is voiced by Frank Welker (uncredited).
Woolworth the Sheep
Woolworth the Sheep is a sheep, who has a hairdo, similar to that of Elvis Presley. He is an informant, that aids Wolf and Twitchy when they need help (and can afford it). He is a tough guy, and is easily bribed. He is voiced by Chazz Palminteri.poo
Timmy, Tommy, and Glenn
Timmy, Tommy, and Glenn are three pig police officers on the woods' police force. They are rotund and chatty. They are not the force's brightest members, but they do like snacking on Granny Puckett's Goodies and playing cards with Raccoon Jerry in their freetime. Their alias is The Three Little Pigs. They build their houses out of straw. They are voiced by Tom Kenny, Preston Stuzman, and Tony Leech.
Raccoon Jerry
Raccoon Jerry is a raccoon, who is a member of the woods' police force. He spends his hobbytime playing cards with Timmy, Tommy and Glenn. He is voiced by Ken Marino.
Blackbuck
The Antelope was seen on police force. He is voiced by .
Deer
The Deer was seen on police force. He is voiced by .
Jimmy Lizard
James "Jimmy" Lizard is a gecko, who is the director of the Paul's Bunion Cream commercial, that Kirk longs to act in. Jimmy sometimes appears to look like the GEICO Gecko, mascot of the insurance company, GEICO. He is voiced by Joshua J. Greene.
Quill the Woodpecker
Quill the Woodpecker is a woodpecker, who is one of Red's animal friends. For her age (and species), she is a surprisingly good reader. She is voiced by Kathryn J. Lovegren.
Granny's Ski Team
Granny's ski team consists of a fox named Zorra the Fox, a polar bear named P-Biggie the Polar Bear, and a penguin named 2-Tone the Penguin. They are not as extreme as Granny is, but they do enjoy her goodies. Zorra the Fox is voiced by Tara Strong, P-Biggie the Polar Bear is voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson, and 2-Tone the Penguin is voiced by Mark Primano.
The Sandwich Man
The Sandwich Man is a chubby human, who for some reasonis dressed as a white tiger. When Wolf questions him about the Goody Bandit, he gets really annoyed. He is a Snack Shack proprietor. He is very skeptical, and doesn't like desserts (or health inspectors). The Sandwich Man's real name is "Wade." He is voiced by Todd Edwards.
The Fisherman
The Fisherman is a fisherman, who has a crush on Granny. He is a very quiet, shy, and solitary fellow, who likes fishing. He is voiced by .
The Creatures of Habit
The Creatures of Habit are a band, made up of a woodchuck as the lead singer, a turtle as the guitarist, a fox as the bassist, a skunk as the drummer, and a rattlesnake as the tambourine player. They perform the songs, "Critters Have Feelings" and "Tree Critter", two original songs written and performed by Todd Edwards.

Jimmy Ten Strings
James "Jimmy" Ten Strings is a magical harp who appears to be under a trance that he can't talk, but he can speak with his harp. He is voiced by Wayne Newton.
Mr. Alligator
Mr. Alligator is an alligator, who is very sensitive. He is afraid that the Witch is going to eat him but he has to eat Witch because he is an alligator. He is voiced by Bill Murray.
The Witch
The Witch is an evil witch, who appears to be the main antagonist in the second film, but in the end, you find out that she is not the one, who kidnapped Hansel and Gretel. She is voiced by Joan Cusack.
The Troll
The Troll is a troll, who is very sneaky. He is not good or bad, but he lets Boingo out of prison by accident. He is voiced by David Alan Grier.
Iana
Iana is a little girl, who is a witness. She saw the kidnapper, making her the main antagonist in the second film. She is voiced by Debra Wilson.
The Giant
The Giant is a giant, who stole the harp to make Red lose all hope. He is voiced by Brad Garrett.
Ernesto
Ernesto is another witness. He seems like he is the liar, but he is actually telling the truth. He is voiced by Jeremy Konner.
The Turtles
The Turtles made a cameo appearance, where one of the trees of the forest (that Kirk was chopping off) fell on the grass, startling them. One turtle said "Run!", and they both ran away very slowly. They are voiced by and .
The Hummingbirds
The Hummingbirds are hummingbirds, who were seen in a flock, flying by Red earlier in the first film. They were voiced by Frank Welker (uncredited).
The Beavers
The Beavers are beavers, who are the owners of Snack Shack. They were voiced by .
The Moles
The Moles are moles, who made a cameo appearance earlier in the first film. They dressed as the Village People. They were voiced by .
The Duck
The Duck and his unfortunate car made three appearances.
First in Red's story where he was driving, but Red's magazine fell on his windshield and caused him to crash into a tree.
Second in Kirk's story, where his car is crushed by a falling tree.
Third, in the end segment, where his car is crushed by another tree.
The Porcupine
The Porcupine is a porcupine, who made a cameo appearance, where one of the forest trees crashed onto his car window, then started chattering angrily. He was voiced by Frank Welker (uncredited).
