List of fictional aircraft in Ace Combat

The following are a list of aircraft featured in the Ace Combat series of semi-realistic flight simulation games made by Namco for the Playstation, Playstation 2, and Xbox 360 home video game consoles, as well as the Playstation Portable and Game Boy Advance mobile game systems.

Most of the aircraft featured in this article are based on real-life planes, including those that never made it past the prototype stage. Others were designed specifically for the series, but include influences from real-world planes.

Fighter Jets

Fenrir

Information

No official specifications can be found on the super aircraft type referred to as "Fenrir". The only information is that which is obtained during combat. The Fenrir was developed with the same fictional Digital Optical Stealth (DOS) Technology utilized by the Gleipnir. Besides DOS, the Fenrir could be equipped with a fictional directed-energy microwave weapon, capable of destroying a target by igniting its fuel tanks. The two main engines have two-dimensional thrust vectoring that control the aircraft's yaw, and the third, central engine is capable of providing vertical thrust to keep the aircraft stable at low altitudes. The Fenrir may be equipped with fictional Microwave Technology, which, working with a ground-based device, creates a slow-moving anomaly (seen as a sparking sphere of energy) that can overheat an aircraft's fuel and cause it to explode. The version of Fenrir that may be flown by the player lacks the DOS or microwave weapon, but may be armed with a pair of Long Range Shock Wave Missiles (LSWM), essentially smaller versions of the Shock Wave Ballistic Missiles (SWBM) mounted on the Gleipnir. It is also equipped with a COFFIN-type cockpit.

History

The Fenrir, under development ever since the start of the fictional Leasath-Aurelia War, was the reason Leasath invaded Aurelia. Its funding was massive, and so Leasath invaded Aurelia in order to gain the funds to finance the project through arms sales. Being a highly advanced fighter, the Fenrir employed most of the technologies tested on the Gleipnir, mainly its optical camouflage and ability to launch SWBMs. When Griswall was liberated by Gryphus One and Aurelian forces, Leasath commander Diego Gaspar Navarro fled to the Sentry Islands, an island chain in Leasath territory and the location of Archelon Fortress. The fortress was the location of the production facility of the Fenrir. By this time, the Fenrir was complete, but had yet to be exported. Only about 10 working models were produced by that time. Disturbed by the mysterious loss of a reconnaissance flight, Aurelian forces assaulted the area. Depending on the players actions, the Fenrir may have been fitted with a microwave weapon. When fired, a pink fireball tracks the target and ignites its fuel tanks. Its weakness is that it can not track an aircraft traveling over 700 miles per hour. In an alternate scenario (in which the HPM is not fitted), the Leasath elite Alect Squadron reaches Archelon Fortress is are given control of four Fenrir aircraft. Despite their capabilities, the squadron is unable to defeat Gryphus One and is destroyed along with Archelon Fortress. All working operational Fenrir models are destroyed with the fortress, except for one in the possession of the Aurelian military.

ADF-01 Falken

The ADF-01 Falken is a fictional fighter aircraft in the games Ace Combat 2, Ace Combat 5, Ace Combat Zero, and Ace Combat X.

Due to its popularity, plastic models of the plane from Ace Combat 5 are on sale in Japan. As of October 2007, these model kits are priced at around $70 USD (plus shipping)on eBay.

The ADF-01 first appeared as a non-playable enemy aircraft, piloted by the Z.O.E. Commander Ace Pilot, in the game Ace Combat 2. It appeared in the 22nd level "Fighter's Honor" and in the bonus model viewer. In Ace Combat 5, the Falken sports the original Z.O.E. red-orange paint that was used with the ADF-01 in Ace Combat 2.

Largely ignored in the ensuing two games, the Falken made a comeback in Ace Combat 5 as an unlockable playable aircraft slightly modified from its first incarnation. Since then, the Falken is poised to become a flagship super aircraft for the Ace Combat series.

Fictional History

The ADF-01 Falken is an Advanced Defense Fighter by Gründer Industries, based on the ADFX-01 Morgan developed during the Belkan War (Ace Combat Zero). In the 15 years that followed, Gründer Industries made at least five variants of the aircraft, including the ADF-01F, several of which were captured by the Osean Federation in the Circum-Pacific War. In later years, the Aurelia operated Falkens in 2020, during the conflict with the country of Leaseath.

Aircraft Configuration
The Falken is different from any other vehicle in Ace Combat games. The Falken has forward-swept wings, canards, inward-inclined vertical stabilizers, a ventral rudder, and extended engine nacelles with 2-D thrust vectoring.

While these aspects of the plane affect its maneuverability, a completely enclosed cockpit that utilizes cameras gives the pilot full 360-degree field of view via the cockpit's numerous monitors.

Another unique aspect of the Falken's design is its payload storage. While missiles are carried in conventional "stealth-like" wells along the sides of the engine nacelles, its Tactical Laser System is contained behind and below the cockpit. When the weapon is armed, the entire front of the plane splits along the horizontal axis and moves out of the way for the laser's beam. Ace Combat Zero retains this special payload storage for the TLS but uses pylons if other special weapons are used. In Ace Combat Zero, the TLS's recharge time extends past its firing time, but, in Ace Combat 5, the recharge time is much shorter, allowing it to be fired again prior to the completion of the previous shot. In Ace Combat X, the TLS can be modified either to have more shots or to have each shot's maximum firing time extended by a few seconds.

The ADF-01 has in-flight refueling capabilities using the boom and receptacle method. The aircraft's receptacle is located in front of the cockpit on the nose.

The Falken somewhat resembles the Delphinus series of aircraft from Ace Combat 3, which with similar features such as a peculiar tailplane and no cockpit windows. The Delphinus-3 appears to be most similar, almost resembling the front half of the Falken with its laser deployed and by virtue of their canard configuration. It may be that the Falken's design was adapted into these new futuristic aircraft somewhere between Ace Combat 5 and 3. The Falken's general configuration is also similar to the PZL-230 Skorpion attack-aircraft concept.

Unlike its later brethren, the ADF-01 in Ace Combat 2 carries backwards-firing missiles and machine gun as a defensive countermeasure and will regularly execute a , stopping in midair to make the player overshoot.

ADFX-01 Morgan

The ADFX-01 Morgan is a fictional fighter aircraft in the game Ace Combat Zero. Its name is derived from the ADF-01 Falken with the 'X' denoting it is a prototype, the number appearing to denote which prototype it is; during the game, the player can control the ADFX-01, while the ADFX-02 also appears. Due to the high influence of Arthurian legend found within Ace Combat Zero, it is highly likely that this plane's name stems from King Arthur's sister Morgan Le Fay.

The ADFX-01 appears, thus far, only in Ace Combat Zero as both a flyable plane and is flown by the game's last enemy ace. It is highly maneuverable and is fairly resistant to damage.

Statistics
The fighter carries 800 rounds of ammunition for its vulcan cannon, and 84 AIM-9M Sidewinder missiles. The aircraft also comes equipped with seven Tactical Laser System shots as its secondary weapon. Eight Multi-Purpose Burst Missiles or an Electronic Counter Measure Pod with eight charges can also be carried.

Aircraft configuration
The ADFX-01 is an experimental aircraft using state-of-the-art technology including Belkan chemical laser systems. The results of the experiment gave birth to the ADF-01 Falken.

Unlike its successor, the Morgan does not internalize its weapons, instead relying on struts to mount its laser above and behind the cockpit and pylons beneath its wings for Sidewinders and burst missiles. Its engines also do not exhibit thrust vectoring. The aircraft's maneuvering system relies on only two canards, as there is a lack of thrust vectoring and tailfins. The ADFX-01's laser has half the ammunition(7 versus Falken 14), and the laser appears to remain activated for a shorter time (4 seconds) when fired compared to the ADF-01's laser system (8 seconds). It is also able to carry burst missiles similar to those used by the Scinfaxi and Hrimfaxi submarines in Ace Combat 5. One interesting aspect of the Morgan is that it seems to create more lift with its body structure, allowing it to take off at nearly half of the Falken's speed.

The ADFX-01 has in-flight refueling capabilities.

ADFX-02

In the last campaign mission of Ace Combat Zero, the player comes up against an ace pilot, former wingman Pixy, flying a then-unknown aircraft. This aircraft later is designated the ADFX-02 and, unlike the ADFX-01, is heavily armored, and is able to carry all three special weapons at once. However, it uses only one at a time.

Notable Features
**The burst missile that is used on the plane is a miniature burst missile used in Ace Combat 5 and is much deadlier
**It differentiates from the ADF-01 by having no lower fin used for yawing, no thrust vectoring, and no coffin-style cockpit.

X-02 Wyvern

The X-02 is a fictional stealthy multirole fighter aircraft in the games Ace Combat 04, Ace Combat 5, Ace Combat Zero and Ace Combat X made by Namco. The X-02 plane is also called Wyvern in Ace Combat 5,Ace Combat X and Ace Combat Zero. It was developed by the fictional Erusean company called EASA . In real life, the craft resembles the Northrop Switchblade Design, also seen as the in the 2005 movie Stealth.

The X-02 is the most agile plane in Ace Combat 04 and also one of the fastest, capable of going faster than missiles in dives and repeated spirals. While it has an only average defensive rating, its extremely high mobility allows its pilots to avoid taking too much damage.

Development and Operational History

Little is known of its operational history during the war between Erusea and the ISAF, though it is known that the Ace pilot was called on to destroy four prototype X-02 aircraft. These were under the command of elements of the Erusean military that refused to surrender after the capture of the capital city of Farbanti by ISAF forces and the destruction of the superweapon Megalith.

The X-02 was only seen as an enemy aircraft during the Arcade mode of Ace Combat 5 and Operation X of Ace Combat X; it has otherwise only been controllable by the player in Ace Combat 04, Ace Combat Zero, and Ace Combat X the player and their wingmen in Ace Combat 5.

Aircraft Configuration
The X-02 Wyvern is a large, twin-engine single-seat fighter/interceptor incorporating the best aspects of nearly every 5th generation fighter. Components and sections of the aircraft bear striking similarities to diverse sources as the Su-47 Berkut (canards), YF-23 (tail configuration), F-22 Raptor (Nose/fuselage stealth design) and Su-37 Terminator (engines).

The wing design of the X-02 is a unique "W" shape. It consists of traditional rearward-swept wings with smaller forward-swept portions at the wings' edge (see Grumman X-29). The aircraft has canards and rear ruddervators; two angled wing sections instead of conventional control surfaces. The X-02 also features 3-D thrust vectoring for added mobility.

One aspect of the X-02 is its "switchblade wings:" as their function is similar to that of a switchblade knife. At approximately 398 knots (~178 m/s), the outer, forward-swept portion of the wing folds inward, leaving just the rearward-sweeping wings. At the same time, the twin ruddervators, normally in a "V" shape (not unlike the YF-23 Black Widow II), fold down; so they are level with the aircraft's other wings.
It is this wing configuration that most likely gives the Wyvern its incredible maneuverability across such a wide range of speeds. With the wingtips deployed, it has all the advantages of forward-swept wings, but since the 'switchblades' retract as speed increases (and are fully stowed at approximately 400 knots, well prior to supersonic transition), extreme wingtip twisting does not occur. The aircraft's ruddervators also fold down, and all yaw control is handled by the engine's thrust vectoring nozzles. The clean delta or spade configuration enables efficient, low-resistance, high speed travel.

The aircraft's top speed (level flight) is approximately 1700 miles per hour. Speeds in excess of 2200 mph can be achieved during steep dives (In Ace Combat X Skies of Deception).

The X-02 stores all of its missiles and rockets in 3 ventral weapons bays. A large bay runs in the center of the aircraft in-between the engines and is used to hold its special weapons. Its standard missiles are carried on two smaller, retractable racks that fold down from the lower engine nacelles.

In Ace Combat 4, the X-02 is capable of carrying three different special weapons, the QAAM (Quick-Maneuver Air to Air Missile, Qty. 16), the XLAA (Long-Range Air-to-Air Missile, Qty. 26), and the BDSP (Bomblet Dispenser, Qty. 24).

Ace Combat 5 does not allow the player to select mission-specific ordnance for different airframes. The AC5 version of the X-02 carries 14 XLAA missiles in its internal bay.

In Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War, the X-02 is once again capable of carrying three different special weapons, the XLAA (Long-Range Air-to-Air Missile, Qty. 14), the QAAM (Quick-Maneuvering Air-to-Air Missile, Qty. 14), and the XAGM (Advanced Air-to-Ground Missile, Qty. 16).

The X-02 can be used as a carrier based aircraft (only in Ace Combat 4, Ace Combat X, and the final carrier launch from the Kestrel in Ace Combat 5) and has in-flight refueling capabilities (boom receptacle).

In Ace Combat X,the plane's special weapons set is similar to the one in Ace Combat Zero but substitutes the QAAM for the BDSP(Bomblet DiSPenser). Also, the X-02 is among 8 in-game modifiable aircraft.

XF/A-27

The XF/A-27 is a fictional fighter aircraft which made its first appearance in Ace Combat 2.

Configuration
The XF/A-27's basic description is that of a fighter with sweep wings reminiscent of a Tomcat or some similar fighter, fitted with front canards and a tailplane where the bottom fins are treated as elevators with large amounts of negative dihedral, and the tailfins are canted outwards. The craft is stealthy, with design cues around the nose and cockpit that resemble an elongated F-22.

Ace Combat 2 XF/A-27
The XF/A-27 was the very first "super plane" in the Ace Combat series. This plane was created by Namco to be as close to a perfect fighter as it could be made and still seem semi-realistic. This trend would be carried on by several aircraft in Ace Combat 3, the X-02 Wyvern of Ace Combat 4, and both the Wyvern and the ADF-01 Falken in Ace Combat 5, and the Falken, Wyvern, and ADFX-01 Morgan in Ace Combat Zero. Its iteration in Ace Combat 2 wore white paint with red striping similar to certain X-planes in America's inventory (e.g. the X-29), suggesting the plane is still experimental in Ace Combat 2's particular place in the series' timeline. Its signature move is the capability to shoot four missiles at once, where all other aircraft in Ace Combat 2 could only launch two.

Performance-wise, it was (as would be expected) spectacular. It bested all others in speed, maneuverability, and combat capability. Most fandom and fan speculation suggests the plane is surprisingly light or at least has an exceptional thrust-to-weight ratio, even if it is complex and sophisticated. In the real world, swing-wing aircraft pay a hefty weight penalty and are complex craft, increasing the chance for mechanical failure.

Ace Combat X Version

This craft is painted in low-visibility gray camouflage. The plane's famous four missile effect isn't available at purchase, but a part for the plane can be bought and added to give it this ability. You can fire 6 missiles with this piece.(4 normal, 2 QAAM) though the plane cannot fire four QAAMs at once. Many planes can fire several missiles at once, but they are XLAA or XMAA missiles and have a limited ammunition count. The XF/A-27 will use missiles out of its 88+ missile count along with 12 QAAMs. However, because of the timeline gap between Ace Combat 2 and Ace Combat X, a gap of around 20 years, the continued status of this plane as the most powerful aircraft is in doubt. The player will find newer models such as the XF/A-24A Apalis, the XR-45 Cariburn, and the YR-302 Fregata that may parallel or exceed the performance of this aircraft.

However, this plane is given a reprieve because it is among several customizable aircraft in Ace Combat X. With the right equipment, the XF/A-27 can be refitted to near its former Ace Combat 2 performance.

XR-45 Cariburn

The Cariburn is a fictional aircraft from the Ace Combat game, Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception

The XR-45 Cariburn's Air Frame incorporates multiple technologies and designs from multinational corporation outside of the Leasath-Aureila area. Exactly how they got it is not known and highly classified. It can operate at Ultra High Altitudes, making it an extraordinary interceptor and dogfighter. The XR-45 Cockpit is oddly structured, but heavily reinforced. It is equipped with a version of the COFFIN System, similar to that of the version 3 COFFIN. Its weapons are primarily Air-to-Air based, further proving its role as a pure Air Combat machine, however it is slow compared with, e.g. the X-02 (max speed of Cariburn1250mph, Max speed of X-022200mph so it is hard to keep up with some types of aircraft, especially the Fenrir). However in Ace Combat X you can tune it with no loss of manuveratbily to a top speed (in a steep dive) of over 2700mph and 2300mph in level flight.

The Cariburn uses two extremely powerful engines in cooperation with its strengthened Forward Swept Wings, a vertical canard which is located beneath it, an extremely large Air Intake and two dimensional thrust vectoring to make it one of the most, if not the most, maneuverable aircraft ever made.

*Standard Missiles / AIM-9M Sidewinder
*QAAM / AIM-9X Sidewinder
*RCL / Hydra 70
*XLAA / AIM-54 Phoenix

YR-302 Fregata

The Fregata is a fighter from Ace Combat X.

The YR-302 is the first aircraft of its size to use four jet engines, rather than the typical one or two. It is also equipped with two dimensional thrust vectoring on each engine and a Version One COFFIN System.

Its role is primarily ground attack, though it is capable of operating at ultra-high altitudes.

Due to the engine system the YR-302 can carry heavy loads of ordnance and is equipped with extremely heavy armor. However, its fuel consumption rate is extremely high, and maintenance on the Fregata is much more difficult compared to other Aircraft.

Weapons

*Gun / 1 x Cannon
*Standard Missiles / AIM-9 sidewinder
*FAEB(Fuel Air Bomb)
*LAGM (ACX)
*NPB(Napalm Bomb) (ACX)

YR-99 Forneus

The Forneus is a fictional aircraft from Ace Combat X.

The YR-99 is one of the first aircraft, along with the XR-45 and YR-302, which uses the COFFIN system. Besides this, there is no solid information on the Forneus. However, its resemblance is extremely close to Neucom Inc's R-101 Delphinius, seen in Ace Combat 03. Because of this there is a high possibility that this aircraft, like the YR-302 are made by an early, Neucom Inc. Its maneuverability is quiet exceptional and is a very good-multi-role aircraft.

Weapons

*Gun / M61 Vulcan
*Standard Missiles / AIM-9M Sidewinder
*LAGM / AGM-88 HARM(ACX)
*SFFS(CBU-Series Fused Sensor Weapon) / JP233(ACX)
*XMAA / AIM-120 AMRAAM(ACX)

XF/A-24A Apalis

The Apalis is a fighter from Ace Combat X

It is a Multi-Role Aircraft allowing it to take on any role on any battlefield. Because of its design and wide surface areas, the lift allows for maximum carrying capacity. The materials which it is created out of and how it is structured make it very cost effective, reliable and easy to maintain on the front lines. Its design also incorporates two large Canards, a Blending Delta-Wing, and three Dimensional Thrust Vectoring Nozzles.

Weapons

*Gun / 1 x Cannon
*Standard Missiles /
*UGB / Mk84
*XAGM / AGM-65 Maverick
*XMAA / AIM-120C AMRAAM

CFA-44 Nosferatu

The CFA-44 Nosferatu is a fictional fighter aircraft in the game Ace Combat 6. The Nosferatu appears as both a flyable aircraft and an adversary flown by the Estovakian ace, Ilya Pasternak of Strigon Team. The aircraft's name is derived from the Nosferatu vampire legend, which ties into the name of Strigon Team, "Strigoi Mort" being Romanian for vampire, as well as tying in with the Vampire Squadron that Pasternak formerly commanded also the CFA-44 is Estovakia's next generation carrier-based fighter aircraft.

While mounting overwhelming weaponry and having unparalleled maneuverability compared to other aircraft in the game, the Nosferatu does have some major flaws such as its instability, thin armor, and inability to recover immediately after a High G turn, which normally results in stalling. Its pros, however, usually lead it to be restricted or banned in online games (its ADMM weapon is not permitted online under any circumstances).

Aircraft configuration
The aircraft itself bears quite a resemblance to the F/A-32C Erne witnessed in Ace Combat 3, and to the Morgan of Ace Combat Zero. It also incorporates several design features from the Sukhoi Su-33, which is the Strigon Team's aircraft of choice. In addition, it is equipped with a partial three-dimensional thrust vectoring mechanism and a probe-and-drogue aerial refueling system. Standard missiles are mounted on wing pylons, and special weapons deploy from weapons bays on the upper and lower surface of the fuselage.

Weapons
*GUN / 2 x 30mm Cannon (GSh-30-1)
*Missile / R-60 (NATO reporting name AA-8 'Aphid')
*ADMM (All Direction Multi-purpose Missile)
*EML (ElectroMagnetic Launcher)
*ECMP (Electronic Counter Measure Pod)

UPEO Aircraft
These planes are used by UPEO in Ace Combat 3.
EF-2000E Typhoon II
The EF-2000E Typhoon II is an upgraded, COFFIN-equipped variant of the EF-2000 multi-role fighter. Operated exclusively by the UPEO in large numbers due to its low cost of manufacture and maintenance, it is a common sight at many UPEO bases. The EF-2000E was used in the early stages of the corporate war, mainly in fast skirmishes with Neucom forces.

F/A-18V Hornet ADV
The Hornet ADV was used in the beginning of the corporation war as one of the UPEO's plane which was widely used by the UPEO/GDRF during their initial operations on the Usean Continent. This version was oriented for multi role purposes, to that end a variety of armament configurations are available to enhance its air to air and air to ground combat capabilities. But thanks to the superior availability and cheap maintenance costs (1 engine is cheaper than 2) of the F-16XA Sakerfalcon, the F/A-18 Super Hornet was largely relegated to second line duties or was given to the UPEO. There are only a few instances where the F/A-18 was used by GRDF which further hints that it isn't popular.

Specifications
*Width - 13.62 m
*Length - 18.31 m
*Wingspan - 4.88 m
*Weight - 29937 kg
*Max Speed - 2324 km/h
*Type: Normal

MiG-33 Fulcrum SS
The UPEO MiG-33 Fulcrum SS is a variant of the existing MiG-29 Fulcrum Family. The MiG-33 Fulcrum SS is one of the UPEO's own fighters which they build, maintain and operate. It is used by many of the Regular UPEO pilots during 2045, along with the EF-2000E. It has many of the same specs as the MiG-29, but has a newer Airframe and flight Avionics, such as the COFFIN system.

Su-37 Super Flanker
The Su-37 Super Flanker is an upgraded, COFFIN-equipped version of the super maneuverable Su-37 "Terminator". It is one of the two choices for the UPEO's elite pilots, the other being the Su-47 Berkut. The Su-37 was used by the UPEO against GRDF and Neucom forces during the 2040's corporate war in USEA. A special version designated the Su-37R is a modified, 'personal' version made exclusively for Rena Hirose. Due to her medical condition, it is made to block out all incoming sunlight, which is fatal to her.

Su-43 (Su-47) Berkut
Completely redesigned and improved with new airframe, avionics and COFFIN system, the Su-43(Su-47)Berkut is the most advanced fighter in the Universal Peace Enforcement Organization's arsenal, during the Corporate War of 2045. Also used by Ouroboros.

Ouroboros
These planes are used by Ouroburous in Ace Combat 3.
UI-4054 Aurora
The UI-4054 Aurora is a higly classified aircraft which was not known to exist until the year 2045 (Ace Combat 03: Electrosphere). It was sighted a few times before the operators of the Aurora, the Ouroboros, revealed themselves. Its pilot is the Ouroboros Leader, Abyssal Dission; a former GRDF Ace.

After multiple engagements and one astounding engagement which, unbelievably took place inside the Electrosphere; the UI-4054 along with Abyssal Dission were destroyed.

Y-25C JSF
Y-25C is an all-weather, extremely maneuverable tactical fighter. It is specially designed to gain and maintain air superiority in aerial combats.

General Resource Aircraft
These planes are used by General Resource in Ace Combat 3.
A/F-117X NAV HAWK
The A/F-117X is a variant of the F-117 Nighthawk produced by General Resource LTD. Its mainly used for Recon missions and bombing missions. the NavHawk is modified with the COFFIN system, afterburners and thrust vectoring, but this doesn't make it a very capable fighter. The GRDF deploys them strictly for Recon Missions, armed or unarmed.

===F-15S/MT Eagle+===
It is Produced and Operated by General Resource LTD and designated the F-15S/MT Eagle+. While this variant does not have Thrust Vectoring Technology, it does have increased maneuverability thanks to its new reinforced airframe, more powerful engines, COFFIN system and Canards. These modifications give the 'old' F-15 Eagle the ability to keep up with the next generation of Aircraft in 2045. Despite its age the Eagle is still one of the most respected and capable aircraft flying during 2045.

The Weight is the same as a fully loaded strike eagle (Max take off weight). This is presumably because the F-15S/MT Eagle+ was used for long range/long loiter time patrol missions thus the need for a large fuel load. Also this airframe can take the role of an attack aircraft thanks to its excellent weapon capabilities and the ability of the airframe to sustain more damage as compared to the F-16 series. Engines were supposedly upgraded to provide the 1382km/h advantage over the standard strike eagle to help in interception and long range penetration duties.

Two Top GRDF Aces, Abyssal Dission and Keith Bryan flew F-15S/MT+ in 2045 and saw great success.

F-16XA Sakerfalcon
This other variant of the popular F-16 series is truly one of kind. It was often used as a test bed for new avionics and laminar flow tests in the later 20th and early 21st century. This F-16 is designed around a ‘cranked arrow’ delta wing design, which is proven to increase its total flight range while maintaining its natural maneuverability. Unlike the F-16XF, this variant is focused more on the ground attack role.

F-16XF Gyrfalcon
The F-16, thanks to the number of aircraft left in service, was deemed a prime candidate for upgrading. A series of upgrades made this fighter into something that would be viable given the drastically different combat conditions of the 2040s. The F-16XF was also chosen as one of the aircraft that could be made/upgraded/serviced cheaply thus providing a prime competitor for the R-101 series in the export area.

Its upgrades include the COFFIN system, Larger Flaps and Ailerons, Canards, a more powerful engine, redesigned Air Intake, Larger Leading Edge Root Extensions and Flap / Elevator Joint Controls.

An export variant was made for the UPEO in 2045. It is known as the F-16XFU.

F-22C Raptor II
It is what most pilots dream of flying when they sign-up. Unfortunately it is expensive to maintain and to modify the existing F-22As in service. The Raptors are commonly used for high-intensity offensives, and Air Dominance operations, over friendly territory. Though somewhat restricted in deployment, some of the GRDF's best flew this aircraft and in the right hands, the F-22C Raptor II is as dangerous as ever.

The Modifications over the standard F-22A Raptor includes, COFFIN system, differential thrust vectoring, flaps with capability, and the addition of an F-15 style speed brake. These are all mostly contained within the aircraft, meaning that the Raptor maintains it’s outer appearance. The only modification visible to the naked eye is the addition of a "tail stinger" like in the Su-27 series, to mount more electronics.

GRDF Top Ace Abyssal Dission flew his personal version of the Raptor II, designated the F-22C Raptor II-D, during the Corporate War of 2045. Though his Raptor has a different designation, it is basically the same as the F-22C. i love god

F/A-18I Hornet
This version was oriented for multi role purposes. To that end a variety of missile loads are available to enhance its air to air and air to ground combat capabilities. The UPEO variant of the F/A-18I, known as the F/A-18U is widely used by the UPEO during their initial operations on the Usean Continent.

The F/A-18I is a modified version of the venerable F/A-18E Super Hornet. The modifications include: an F-15-style speed brake, the COFFIN system, larger flaps for greater maneuverability and more powerful engines which provide 400 km/h more top speed over the standard F/A-18E.

F/A-32C Erne
The F/A-32C Erne is a Fighter/Attacker produced and operated by General Resource LTD that appears to be based of the real world X-32. The F/A-32C was commonly used in the middle of the war of 2045 as an attacker, more than a fighter. It was equipped with the COFFIN System, an unusual two-dimension Thrust Vectoring Flap around its two engines and stealth features.

RF-12A2 Blackbird II
Over the years of Blackbird Service it became evident that the SR-71 was becoming vulnerable to Fighters and Air Defenses from most any military. In 1998, during the Usean rebellion multiple SR-71s were intercepted while returning from a long ranged mission with two XB-70A Valkyries, the result was the loss of all three SR-71s and the two XB-70s. In 2004 during the Usean Continental War between Erusea and the ISAF, an Erusean SR-71 was shot down over the Comona Islands; during Operation Countdown. A second one was lost during the battle of Whiskey Corridor in the final days of that war. Years later in 2010 in the opening days of the Circum-Pacific War, a Yuktobanian SR-71 was badly damaged by the Osean ADEZ Defense System and later crashed due to damage.

General Resource LTD, a world wide company on the Usean Continent was constantly having it’s facilities watched by Neucom aircraft, which had began to violate the Air Space restriction laws set by the UPEO. Neucom began flying at Ultra High Altitudes over GR controlled cites, bases and areas with their R-531 Moburas and R-311 escorts.

General Resource had a plan to modify the only aircraft they had capable of reaching those altitudes. They began retrofitting their SR-71's. Their Airframe was modified to carry missiles internally and was upgraded with new electronics, but the rest of the aircraft essentially remained the same as the SR-71.

X-49 Night Raven
The X-49 was General Resource's ultimate manned fighter; stolen by the Ouroboros in 2045. After it was stolen it became one of the Ouroboros' main weapons.

A bi-box-wing supersonic flying wing design with an immensely powerful onboard Laser Cannon. It draws its amazing power from Aeon Generators in its area of operation during the mission Self Awareness. It is specially designed to be piloted by Rena Hirose and to be carried and launched from the UI-4053 Sphyrna airborne carrier.

In 2045, during the Corporate War, Rena Hirose had defected to the Ouroboros and flew the X-49 against UPEO forces. The Night Raven is responsible for completely destroying Megafloat. Megafloat was destroyed after one shot from the Night Raven's Laser Cannon. After betrayal within the Ouroboros itself the X-49 is later shot down by a Pilot A.I.

XFA-36A Game
The XFA-36A Game is the ultimate fighter produced by General Resource LTD. The Game is capable of performing any task that a Commander can dream of. Its airframe, like its avionics and weapons systems, is extremely advanced and uses a unique tailless system. During flight, the Thrust Vectoring along with the vertical wingtips, make up for the Vertical Tail Stabilizer(s). As the Game goes super sonic, the Wingtips fold to a 90 degree angle and pivot to maintain maneuverability and stability.

The XFA-36A is first deployed by the General Resource Defense Force in mid-2045, just before major GR Operations begin. It was the XFA-36A which performed the famous "Operation: Hit and Run" and lead the GRDF attack on Port Edwards. Eventually, the Ouroboros also used these fighters. They were deployed sporadically during their operations, but were seen in full force during the attack on Megafloat. The UPEO also deploy XFA-36A in the non-JP version of AC3.

Neucom Aircraft
These aircraft are used by Neucom in Ace Combat 3
R-101 Delphinus I
The Delphinus I is Neucom Inc.'s initial production fighter. Its design strongly resembles that of the YR-99 Forneus, so it is assumed that the YR-99 was the prototype for the Delphinus I. Its Structure and its Radical Design, quickly caught the eye of many buyers across the world. The R-101 is the first Neucom Mass Produced Fighter aircraft on the planet with the COFFIN system installed as a Standard and was quickly purchased around the globe. The R-101 had became a sort of gate way for Neucom's aviation technology. Because of its success Neucom Inc. had established itself in the Aviation Field.

The R-101 saw combat in 2045 under Neucom Command and within the Universal Peace Enforcement Organization, as the R-101U. Though its performance was later over shadowed by later Neucom Aircraft, its effectiveness still showed its usefulness. It saw action throughout the entire conflict.

R-102 Delphinus II
The R-102 Delphinus II uses an airframe which is based off of the R-101 Delphinus I of which it replaced. The R-102, despite having a single engine, has a better thrust to weight ratio, top speed, turning speed and higher altitude than the R-101. Along with the COFFIN, the R-102 is the first Mass Produced Aircraft with a standard Energy Weapon, the Pulse Laser Gun. Much like the R-101, the R-102 was received with open arms by global buyers and demonstrated its effectiveness. The R-102 saw combat in 2045. Its performance was superior on the battlefield and it quickly became recognized to be formidable fighter.

The only Neucom Ace Pilot, and one of the few Ace pilots on the planet during that time, choose the R-102 as her aircraft of choice. A True homage to the aircraft.

R-103 Delphinus III
The R-103 Delphinus III is the final 'expression' of Neucom's Famed R-100 line. Combining the latest aviation technologies, including the COFFIN System, Pulse Laser Weaponry with a Radically Sleek, multi-winged design and astounding thrust-to-weight ratio and Top Speed; the Delphinus III is Neucom's Crown Jewel of its Aviation Designs.

In Mid-2045 the Delphinus III left its test phases, the Production line and entered combat. The R-103 saw combat very quickly and out preformed almost every aircraft on the battlefield at that time. Neucom's Female Ace (Cynthia Fitzgerald) quickly switched from her R-102 to the R-103 in order to maintain her combat edge. The Ouroboros also deployed their own R-103 models for their combat operations as well. Though, their main role was usually to escort the UI-4053, Ouroboros Headquarters.

XR-900 Geopelia
The XR-900 Geopelia is a high agility fighter. Very similar to the X-49 in design, the plane shares the same engine and intake layout. Its wing design is similar to the X-49 as they are both bi-wing jets, but the Geopelia does not have Vertical stabilizers. This allows for more unstable handling of the aircraft. The XR-900 is faster than the X-49 but carries the same payload. Also, like the X-49 the Geopelia's main weapon is its Laser Cannon.

The XR-900 Geopelias are produced by Neucom Inc. at the end of the war in 2045.

The XR-900 Geopelia did see action once in History. In late 2045, a group of XR-900 flew to Port Edwards. They then began to attack the city with laser ordinance. The General Resource Defense Force dispatched an AI Pilot to deal with them. After finally hacking into one of the XR-900 Geopelia, the pilot destroyed the other Geopelia. These Geopelia were believed to be pre-programmed by the Ouroboros, but nothing has been confirmed.

R-311 Remora
The R-311 Remora was developed as the answer to the General Resource Ltd. RF-12A2 Blackbird II. It was designed for the sole purpose of escorting the R-531 Mobura Transports. The R-311 was extremely light, making it capable of being transported by the R-531s. When the Moburas came under fire, they dispatched their R-311 Remoras as they continued to their target. The R-311s sacrificed maneuverability for speed, in order to stay aloft in the Stratosphere.

The R-311 saw limited action in 2045, but were proven to lessen the number of R-531 Transports shot down. NEU Ace Cynthia Fitzgerald had her own custom version, known as the R-311-C, but she did not operate it regularly.

Space Fighters

R-352 Sepia
The R-352 Sepia is the largest accomplishment in Neucom's Space Program. After using technology from the R-808 Phoca, their first Space Craft, they decided to take a Radical Step forward and incorporate the knowledge from that Project, new Laser and Plasma Technologies along with Technologies under development.

The R-352 became and is the first Space Craft to be equipped with Operational Weaponry, this making it the first Space Fighter. During the war in 2045 (Ace Combat 03) an R-352 is sent into Space, intercepts and destroys four General Resource Orbital Satellite Lasers. After this it is believed that Neucom further researches the technology and may look into producing more units.

Bombers

BM-335
The BM-335 is a Belkan bomber that played a major part in the Belkan War of Ace Combat Zero. The BM-335 appears to be a late 1940s-1950s design, probably a design of the same era as the Tu-95 Bear, Tu-16 Badger, B-47 Stratojet and B-52 Stratofortress. This is evidenced by one of your wingmen in the ACZ mission, "Glacial Skies" when he exclaims over the radio "That bomber looks ancient"

The role of the BM-335 also appears to be the same as the B-52, strategic bomber, as evidenced in Ace Combat Zero's mission #1, "Glacial Skies" and mission #12 "Stage of the Apocalypse" where the aircraft were in fact, used as bombers alongside B-52s.

But there has always been one thing that has always drew curiosity out of those who saw it: its appearance.

Firstly, the bomber's spotted paint scheme and design draw many similarities out of WWII German's aircraft programs. The windows look more like the American B-29's, but also drawing similarities from the German He 177, which uses the same style of windows as well. If West Germany had developed a multi-engined strategic bomber, the BM-335 is what it may have looked like. The appearance of the BM-335 also helps to further the belief that Belka draws its characteristics from a real world nation, Germany.

The plane also has very powerful tail armament. The tail armament may have evolved over time from 20mm machine guns to a multi-barreled cannon like a Vulcan. Whatever the case, the armament is extremely lethal and effective to hostile aircraft traveling too close to the bomber, based on Ace and Expert difficulty observations.

The bomber's tail gun has demonstrated an ability to keep firing at enemy aircraft, even after the bomber has been critically damaged. This suggest that the either the tail gunner was suicidal or that his position was deleted in favor of an automated tail gun system. (Or it could be just a little oversight in programing by Namco).

Also the planes front lower nose is vey big and mostly holds the nuclear bombs during mission 12.

XB-10
A prototype superbomber that was used by the coup-d'etat forces in Ace Combat 2. How many were actually produced remains unknown, but it is confirmed at least 2 that were in use by the rebel forces. After one of the bombers was located at the Comona Islands test facility, the government hired Scarface Tactical Fighter Squadron to destroy it. After fighting off defending rebel forces, the XB-10 was located in a hangar and bombed. The second XB-10 was used during a battle against the Scarface TFS in a bid to hold the rebel force's last line of defense; it too was destroyed along with the defending garrison.

The exact specifications of the XB-10 remain unknown, but some sources state it was heavily armoured and had a defensive gun for self-protection and was capable of carrying a large payload.

B-1C Lancer II
The B-1C Lancer II is a Strategic Bomber design revamped by General Resource in the 2040s. The Air Frame's design is still the same, though its upgrades include the COFFIN System and new avionics. The B-1C Bomber is one of the last aircraft to use the "Swing Wing" system, which is well known thanks to the F-14 Tomcat and Tornado Families.

The GRDF deploy their B-1B Lancer IIs in early 2045 during an operation against Neucom Forces.

R-201 Asterozoa
After the success of the R-101, Neucom quickly made a second aircraft geared for Ground Attack. It was to work along side the R-101 Delphinus. The R-201 Asterozoa's design had and still is, one of the most 'Radical' Designs made by Neucom Inc. With its double COFFIN, Podded design it was thought to be a little out-landish. There also was a speed problem and it was vulnerable to high speed interceptors.

It wasn't until 2045 that the Asterozoa showed that it was an amazing ground attacker, despite its shortcomings. Along with the R-101, is sold very well. By the middle of the war, it was replaced by the R-211 Orcinus within Neucom control. It continued to operate within the Universal Peace Enforcement Organization as the R-201U.

Specifications
*Length : 18.13 m
*Wingspan : 20.6 m
*Height : 2.9 m
*Weight : 25013 kg
*Max speed : 1540 km/h
*Class : Heavy Attacker

R-211 Orcinus
The R-211 Orcinus was developed for the purpose of replacing the R-201 Asterozoa. Neucom Inc. realized that its R-201 Ground-Attacker could be improved on and quickly began to develop the R-211. Unlike the Asterozoa, the Orcinus is capable of passing MACH 2.5, is capable of defending itself in Air-to-Air Combat and was much more maneuverable. The R-211 entered service along side the R-102 Delphinus II, in 2045 war. It preformed well as a Ground-Attacker and slowly replaced all the R-201 Asteroza, under Neucom control.

Specifications
*Length : 22.56 m
*Wingspan : 8.2 m
*Height : 2.21 m
*Weight : 12022 kg
*Max speed : 3304 km/h
*Class : medium attacker

Tankers

EK-17U
The Ek-17U is the main tanker for UPEO. Looking at its design and size, EK-17U is probably designated from the C-17. Its ability to lift heavy weight shows that this plane is considerably suitable for carrying tons of gasoline used for air-refueling. It is exclusively used by Universal Peace Enforcement Organization (UPEO) tanker unit.

KC-777
This converted Airliner is produced and used solely by General Resource LTD. It is primarily used for GRDF refueling operations, but also can be used as a Transport.

Transports

C-17B Globemaster IV
The C-17B is simply a C-17s, modified with larger high bypass turbofans. The Turbofan placement has been moved to within the wing (for Coanda effect) to enable better STOL capability. It is COFFIN equipped to lessen crew requirements and is capable of taking on many supporting roles.

The General Resource Defense Force deploy C-17B Globemaster IVs primarily as Transports. The Universal Peace Enforcement Organization uses a Tanker variant of the C-17B, known as the EK-17B for refueling operations (as seen stated above).

R-531 Mobura
The R-351 Mobura is Neucom's Ultra High Altitude Transport Aircraft, which they used during the middle of the war of 2045. The Mobura, while unarmed, can carry two R-311 Remora Ultra High Altitude Interceptors each. The R-531s commonly fly in large groups allowing them to disperse their R-311s in an effective manner, if attacked. The R-531s commonly operated within the highest layers of the Stratosphere, keeping them high above the combat envelopes of many General Resource LTD. or UPEO aircraft.

The Mobura Transport Groups were first intercepted as they passed near or over General Resource's White Valley Air Force Base. The General Resource Defense Force had began to attack most of these Transport Groups using their RF-12A2 Blackbirds. The Moburas had taken losses during their operations.

Space Shuttles

R-808 Phoca
The R-808 Phoca is a Neucom Space Shuttle / Vehicle which is only used as a transport and a Research Vehicle.

In 2045, an R-808 Phoca is launched during an attack on the Riass Space Center in the Comona Islands to recon four suspicious General Resource LTD. (GR) Satellites.

As the R-808 re-entered the Atmosphere a day later, a GR interceptor group was sent to shoot down the R-808, but failed and were destroyed. The Phoca had brought back evidence that the four GR Satellites were not normal satellites, but Orbital Satellite Lasers capable of firing at any target on the Planet's Surface. A Day later, Neucom sent its Space Fighter into space to destroy these satellites, before they became operational.

Helicopters

H-9
The H-9 is a fictional helicopter that debuted in Ace Combat 5 as an Osean aircraft.

The H-9 is a helicopter that seems to be based on the real world UH/SH-60 helicopter. It is used for several types of missions, ranging from Search and Rescue, special operations, and as a VIP transport. As seen during the Ace Combat 5 missions "Ancient Walls" and "Ice Cage," the Osean HH-9B can be equipped with various weapons, ranging from window-mounted Gatling guns to anti-tank missiles. Unlike the Blackhawk, the H-9 also has retractable landing gear. The helicopter is known as the UH-9 in Emmerian and Estovakian service.

AH-66B Comanche II
The Ah-66b is a stealth helicopter featured in Ace Combat 3.

The AH-66B is a modified RAH-66 helicopter, fitted with a COFFIN system. The AH-66B is the primary attack/recon helicopter of the General Resource Defense Force. It is primarily used as a defensive weapon; often seen guarding important GRDF bases.

R-701 Triakis
This vehicle is a helicopter that appeared in Ace Combat 3.

This is Neucom's first try at making a new Attack Helicopter. As with its aircraft, the R-701 uses new technology and aviation designs allowing it to preform better than most other attack Helicopters in 2045. Neucom deploys these R-701s in certain areas where Ground Forces are not as effective or if Highly Valued Facilities need more defenses. The R-701 was rarely used as an Offensive Weapon in the war of 2045.
