Line of succession to the former Tuscan throne

The present head of the Grand Ducal House of Tuscany is Sigismund of Habsburg-Lorraine. He bears the title of pretence of Archduke Sigismund, Grand Duke of Tuscany.<ref name="petit"/> He is the elder son of Archduke Leopold of Austria-Tuscany, who claimed the title Grand Duke of Tuscany de jure in 1984, but who renounced his position as head of the house on 12 April 1994, following his re-marriage on 18 June 1993 with commoner Marta Perez Fernandez.<ref name="petit"/>
