The Lifford Wine Agency is a wine importer in Ontario, Canada which produces the plantatree brand of wine. There are three wines, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, distributed under this brand. For every bottle sold, the company donates $2.50 to Tree Canada to fund the planting of a tree. The brand is meant to be carbon positive, signifying that the carbon produced in making the product is offset, thus having a positive impact on one's carbon footprint. The wine is imported in bulk to Ontario from California and then bottled in lightweight PET bottles to be distributed only in Ontario with plans to distribute nationally.
