Lewis Stanson

Lewis Stanson (born Lewis Stephen Musgrove, April 18, 1988) is an English singer-songwriter.

Early Life
At age 16, Stanson began to write songs and also started singing regularly. Due to his intense academic schedule, he was unable to fully commit to his passion. In December 2006, after being persuaded by family and friends he opened a YouTube channel and posted his first video clip in September 2007.

Music Career
In early 2008 after having sent several demos out to various record labels, he signed a development deal with Island to record a debut album. Prior to securing his deal with Island he was also brought to the attention of Polydor A&R executive Jordan Jay who discovered him on the popular video sharing website YouTube and through his Myspace music page.

According to his official Myspace page, his album is to be released sometime in 2009, however a specific release date has yet to be determined.

Vocal Ability
Stanson, a Spinto Tenor, is known for his powerful voice, vocal range and ability to sing in Falsetto. His vocal ability has caused much controversy with YouTube users, and several have even commented saying: "He is beyond vocal classification and perhaps the world's first male Coloratura Soprano" and "My jaw has actually dropped!" Stanson's style and vocal capabilities is often likened to that of Christina Aguilera.

Endorsements
In November 2007, Stanson was signed up to be the face of Italian fashion house Salvatore Ferragamos fall/winter 2008 men's collection. He is to appear in a series of different campaigns from August 2008, that will be published in Italian men's fashion magazines only. The one year contract is reported to be worth in the region of £250,000.
