Leon Kufa was born on 6 March 1981 in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. He is a development consultant based in Windhoek, Namibia. He has served as the Executive Vice President for Junior Chamber International Mutare Chapter in Zimbabwe, as well as an executive member of the Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce Mutare Chapter. Leon is also a contributor in a number of magazines and newspapers in Namibia including Gems Magazine and The Business Success. He also edited an Accounting textbook used in Namibian schools. He is also quoted in several newspapers and magazines in Namibia on economic issues. He has worked as an agricultural economics consultant, a lecturer, an equity dealer as well as financial research analyst. At present, Leon is the operations manager of Sahara Investments, a project management company based in Windhoek, Namibia. He is also a research associate with the Institute for Public Policy Research, IPPR, where he is responsible for compling the quarterly IJG Business Confidence Monitor.
