Leo Lebeau

Leo Lebeau is a British director and producer from Chigwell, Essex. He graduated from The National Film and Television School in 2020, where he received a BAFTA Prince William Scholarship. As part of his scholarship, Lebeau was mentored by Emmy winning Executive Producer of Fleabag, Lydia Hampson.
During his studies Lebeau directed and produced short comedy Sugarbabies (2020) and LGBTQ drama Birthday Boy (2021).
Since it’s release, Sugarbabies has been awarded four film festival wins and three nominations.
Lebeau’s film Birthday Boy was selected as an NFTS Platform project in collaboration with Kickstarter. The budget was crowd funded during a campaign featuring Trans Activists Cambell Kenneford, Cairo Nevitt and Maxine Heron. The film stars transgender actor Sebastian Emmerson cast during open auditions, alongside former Eastenders star Ted Reilly and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama graduate Selma Alkaff. A notable crew member is Paulo Pandolpho, who previously worked as an editor for The Crown as well as Russell T Davies’ Cucumber and Banana. The soundtrack of Birthday Boy features the song Daughter written and performed by Ryan Cassata.<ref name=":0" />
