Crystal Clarke is an American actress who is cast in a lead role in the upcoming film Star Wars Episode VII. Clarke and another "unknown" actor were selected for lead roles through a casting process involving 37,000 candidates appearing in person in 11 cities in the US and UK; along with 30,000 more applying online. In 2013 Clarke appeared in The Pastels music video for their song "Check My Heart". at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she graduated in 2014. While at the RCS, she appeared in various plays, including Macbeth, The Cherry Orchard, and They Shoot Horses, Don't They?.<ref name=stv1/> |
