Leimin Duong (born ) Duong was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. While she enjoyed beer, she did not have experience in brewing it before considering the company. She studied brewing in her spare time while working as an office administrator in a bank, and interned briefly at St. Peter's Brewery in Sydney to gain practical experience. She established a brewing company, Zeven Lemon Beerworks, and introduced its first product, a strawberry-flavoured beer, in 2013. In 2015, Duong was included in the BBC series . In a 2015 article in the Daily Telegraph she discussed the challenges associated with working in a male-dominated industry, and in the interview published a day later she describes the best and worst business decisions she made. While she acknowledges that sales is not her strength, by setting up her company in a defined path she was able to get started as a brewer. |
