Le Morne, is a 2011 movie written and directed by M.N.V. Ebmegam. The movie takes place in the island of Mauritius and explores the time between when African slaves where captured in mainland Africa and brought to the island to work in the sugar cane fields. Plot Mauritius island in 2011, Tofer and his friend Brice are chatting at a pub in the town of Rose-Hill until he receives a call from another friend asking if he could accompany him to the south west of the island, to a village call Le Morne. He accepted and shortly after his friend arrives, then he and Brice went into the car and together they drove towards Le Morne. Arriving there they met an old man who told them about the sacred place at Le Morne where slaves who had escaped from the plantation would come to seek refuge. The old man will also tell them how African where captured back in the homeland, Africa and about the trade that went on around slaves in the 1800s Cast *Eric Joseph *Georges Fini *Jean Daniel
