Lawrence C. Marsh is an American economist and Professor Emeritus at the University of Notre Dame. Education and career In 1976, he completed his Ph.D. in econometrics at Michigan State University. In 1975, Marsh joined the faculty of the University of Notre Dame, where he spent three decades teaching econometrics, statistics, and mathematical economics. In 1990, he co-founded (with Pravin K. Trivedi and Peter J. Schmidt) the Midwest Econometrics Group (MEG), an organization designed to foster collaboration among econometricians through annual academic conferences and served as its director for 15 years. Marsh co-authored Spline Regression Models, published by Sage Publications in 2001. Marsh has been on several journal editorial boards and was a guest editor for the Journal of Econometrics in the special edition on The econometrics of higher education.
