Laurie Elyse

Laurie Elyse born in Virginia is an American fashion designer and artist. While attending The School of Visual Arts she gained recognition for both her functional furniture creations using broken/new/used parts from instruments that were used to raise money for charities such as The Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation, and for her M16 Vibrator art piece at a gallery show.
Her guitar pick bracelets and charms have become very popular among those in the music scene and Mistress Juliya (aka Juliya Chernetsky) is frequently used as a model for Laurie Elyse creations., and she has recently launched a designer clothing line centering on rock n roll inspired swimwear. The first collection debuted New York Fashion Week during the Spring 2009 shows in September 2008.
The latest collection was featured in Alternative Press's Summer Style section in both the June & July 2009 issues.
Laurie Elyse has suffered from Multiple Sclerosis for the last two years and on August 13, 2009 debuted her 2010 swimwear collection and many of the pieces proceeds were donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Southern California Chapter.
Laurie Elyse and her collection was recently featured at the 2010 SXSW Rockin' Swimwear & Live Model Trunk Show and the Alternative Press Magazine VIP Party in Austin, TX. She sponsored the Bust Magazine Craftacular Pop-up Shop in New York, NY. She also sponsored the 2011 Grammy and MusiCares Person of the Year Awards honoring Barbra Streisand donating pieces from her Laurie Elyse Design Collection.
Laurie Elyse sponsored the winner of the 2012 Mrs. Ethnic World International contestant and model, Daisi Pollard Sepulveda.

Her work was featured in the December 2011 Holiday Gift Guide in Alternative Press Magazine as well as sponsoring the honoring Sir Paul McCartney donating custom work.
