Lauren Sivan

Lauren Paige Sivan (born April 6, 1978) is an news anchor for News 12 Long Island. She also is a recurring guest on Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld.
Education and Career
Sivan is a B. A. graduate from George Washington University in journalism and political science. As a student she worked part time as desk assistant for Fox News Channel's DC Bureau. After graduating, Sivan then worked for Fox News. She was a producer assistant for Fox News Sunday and then a producer for Fox & Friends.
In 2003, Sivan left Fox News to be the morning anchor for NBC affiliate WETM-TV 18 News in Elmira, New York. In July 2005, she moved to News 12 Long Island as evening anchor.
Sivan moved back to Fox News in September 2008 as the overnight breaking news anchor and reporter. December 28, 2009 marked Sivan's last appearance as anchor on the network. Staring on October 5, 2010 Sivan was selected as interim anchor at News 12 Long Island, replacing Jodi Applegate.
Personal Life
In September 2005, it was announced that Rick Leventhal proposed to Sivan with a wedding date of February 2006. A week before the wedding, the couple cancelled the wedding because they "decided to wait."
As of August 2010, Sivan was living with Leventhal. Sivan also owns a dog named Spanx.
