Laurel Park school was the amalgamation of two independent girls schools in Glasgow. Laurel Bank and The Park School for Girls. This happened in the 1990's but was short lived before being taken over by Hutchesons Grammar
Park School was founded in 1880 in Lyndoch Street in Woodlands and was housed in former Tobacco Lords homes. One of the houses was the birthplace of Lord Reith the first director general of the BBC. It took pupils from 5 until 18 and had a total role call of about 500.
The school was part of the girls school company which also included St Columba's.
