Encina Street is a street situated in Visalia, near Oval Park. It is in Visalia Heights, one of the older neighborhoods of Visalia. It consists of Victorian-era houses. History Encina Street is one of first suburbs. The houses or rather Victorian manors, are now used as private homes, as they were in the 1800s. The names of the residents of the houses in the photographs below are those of past owners. None of the homes on Encina Street mentioned in this article are owned by the original owners or builders at this point in time. Then and now Back in the 1800s, the houses were private homes to the higher class people, such as old doctors, lawyers, and district attorneys. Some people that lived there in the Victorian era include , Attorney Tipton Lindsey in 1872, business man R.H. Stevens in 1883, Attorney J.A. Hannah in 1888, Doctor M.L.
