Larry Stylinson is the combined names of two members of the British/Irish boy band One Direction; Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. It is the pairing name for the speculated romance between the two. According to fans, this relationship started during the early days of the X Factor 2010, where the boys were put together as a band and competed, eventually finishing in 3rd place. According to this logic, they have been together for two and a half years now. While One Direction's management tries to keep the relationship as a secret (through the use of beards) a group within the One Direction fan base, the self-proclaimed 'Larry Shippers', have spent enormous amounts of time attempting to show through analysis of interviews, candid photographs and video evidence the existence of this relationship. They firmly believe it exists. The pair have been publicly 'outed' by some of the people close to them, including Styles' mother Anne Cox, Tomlinson's mother Johannah Darling and Radio 1 DJ and Breakfast show host Nick Grimshaw, who is a close friend of Styles'. Louis and Harry wrote "They Don't Know About Us," about their relationship which is in the boys new album Take Me Home Beginnings Speculation began in late 2010 when One Direction were first formed as a band and began filming video diaries for each week, in which fans saw Styles and Tomlinson as being in a relationship. This carried on throughout the X Factor and during the X Factor tour and was widely liked among fans. Cover Up A group within the fan base that believes that Styles and Tomlinson are in a relationship have compiled evidence and analyses to support the theory that One Direction's management are working to cover up Styles and Tomlinson's relationship. They have claimed that the woman Tomlinson has been publicly dating is a beard to cover up his homosexuality. Following months of speculation, a tweet was sent from Tomlinson's account calling Larry "bullshit", causing widespread controversy throughout the fan base.
