Career
In 2009, Lana, along with dance partner Darren Bailey, was asked to be an assistant choreographer on BBC 1’s Strictly Come Dancing. It was here that they assisted Ryan Francois and Jenny Thomas with the training and choreography of finalist Ricky Whittle and professional dance partner Natalie with their Rock and Roll performance, and winners Chris Collins and Ola with their winning Charleston routine.
Lana was also chosen to perform a recreation of the most infamous Lindy hop routine of all time, Hellzapoppin’ alongside some of the worlds most talented swing dances of today, including top lindy hop dancer and mentor Ryan Francois. Lana considers this to be one of her greatest achievements and it was an exceptional honour to have been a part of such a heartfelt show, in remembrance of the late, legendary Lindy Hopper, Frankie Manning.
