Lambert Golightly (9 March 1895 - April 1987) was an English footballer who played as a right back for Darlington and the England amateur XI. Life and career Golightly was born in Gateshead, County Durham, in 1895, He was a regular in North-Eastern League club Darlington's FA Cup teams in the first two post-war seasons, helping them reach the second round proper (last 32) in 1919-20. In November 1919, he played for the England amateurs against Ireland; according to the (London-based) Globe, he was "unknown in London has shown consistently good form for Darlington". He was capped twice more in 1920, in a 3-1 defeat against Belgium in Brussels and a 5-0 win against France in Rouen. He also appeared once in January 1924.
