Lake Palmer

Lake Palmer is a British citizen whose search for a Thai bride was captured in a documentary. He is still believed to be living in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, England appeared on Louis Theroux Thai Brides special. The documentary portrays Lake's search for love in the form of a Thai bride. Lake set off in search of love, and following a few meetings with different women, finally settled on the love of his life; Panom Yeesoon (nicknamed Jad), to whom he proposed after 3 days. Needless to say she accepted.
Upon arrival back in England on Lake's pre booked flight 4 days after the ceremony, Lake continued to shower Panom with gifts and phonecalls. Lake is a simple man, with a kind heart. Was love too uch to ask?
Thing soon turned ugly for Lake and Panom as, £20,000 and 8 months later, Panom was denied a visa to the United Kingdom. It turned out she was still married to another English man.
Ever hopeful, Lake continued to correspond and send money until April 2001, when she told him in a telephone call she had met a Belgian man and didn't want to know him any more.
He said: 'I cried for six weeks and I've lost all my confidence. I only have my Army pension to live on. I think that's why she didn't want me'.
'I've had a nervous breakdown and I'm still desperately lonely.'
