Laith Barnouti (born 1973) is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon based in Sydney. He is founder and director of Australia Plastic Surgery. Early life and education Barnouti was born in Baghdad, and brought up in a medical family. His father, Dr Ramzi Barnouti, is a specialist urologist. In 1980, Barnouti was selected to be captain of the Iraqi national diving team, representing Iraq in the sport of diving till 1993. He graduated in 1997 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Nahrain University. Career In 2003, he trained as a plastic surgeon at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney. In 2008, he completed a fellowship in Cosmetic Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at Sydney University. In 2009, Barnouti worked as a fellow plastic surgeon at Clinica Ivo Pitanguy and the General Hospital of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
