Kyong Hae Kim

As an inaugurator both of the Korean Public Relations Association and the Korea PR Consultancy Association, Kyong Hae Kim is often referred to as the ‘pioneer’ of the Korea’s PR industry or 'Father of Public Relations in Korea'. He served as the president of the Korea Public Relations Association (KPRA) in 1991 ~ 1992 and was awarded ‘The PR Man of the Year’ in 1994. In addition, Korean Government awarded the president citation to him for his contributions in publicizing governmental policies in 1999.
Kyong Hae Kim founded Communications Korea in 1987. It is the first PR agency in Korea, and he is current CEO of the company. He was previously the Seoul correspondent of Reuters News Agency and the economic editor of the Korea Herald. In 1983, he also founded Korea’s first English-language business magazine, Business Korea. He was involved in journalism for more than 20 years, and his extensive background in journalism has played a key role in enabling him to become one of the key figures in the Korea’s PR industry.

As a founder and CEO of a PR agency expertised in media publicity, MPR, crisis management, media training and consulting services, he has served a variety of clients including multinational and local companies, Korean and foreign government.
He obtained Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and holds a degree in English literature from Sogang University in Seoul.
Mr. Kim is an author of 4 books ‘Big Think, Big PR’, ‘Let’s PR’, ‘Live On-Site PR Story’, and ‘Companies Overcoming Crisis, Companies Crumbling with Crisis’
