Kyle Davey (born 12 June 1985) is a ballet dancer and model from Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia. Davey began dancing at the age of eight at the Dubbo Ballet Studio in New South Wales. At sixteen was offered a full scholarship to attend the Queensland Dance School of Excellence. In his second year he danced with the Queensland Ballet in their production of 'Excalibur'. In 2003 Davey won the McDonald’s Ballet Scholarship Award, which included a secondment to the English National Ballet and Australian Ballet Company. Kyle also received the Queensland Ballet Scholarship Award in 2003 and in the following year was awarded the annual Training Scholarship award to The Australian Ballet. He performed in The Australian Ballet Company’s Tour of The Nutcracker in 2005, and in Graduation Ball and Sleeping Beauty in 2006 as well as the Opening Ceremony for the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games and also in Scheherazade in June/July 2006. In September 2006 he danced at the ABS Pas De Deux exhibition performing a new contemporary pas de deux by Maggie Wilson entitled Opus 2. In 2007, Davey joined New English Contemporary Ballet and was promoted to Soloist. He has also performed as a Soloist in the Tivoli Ballet in Copenhagen and has worked at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, home of The World Famous Royal Ballet from 2008, for two consecutive years, as a dancer for The Choreographic Research Project directed by The Royal Ballets' resident choreographer, Wayne McGregor In March 2009, Davey was offered a contract to guest with 'The Cork City Ballet' for their production of The Nutcracker. Davey began filming the independent film Angel in June 2009 and wrapped the same month. The film co-stars ballet dancer Leigh Alderson and is produced as well as featuring the score of critically acclaimed Scottish singer, Jerry Burns, whose music has also been featured in Cruel Intentions , Crush and Walking and Talking and is directed by David Council. The second collaboration between Davey, Alderson, Burns and Council will be titled 'Those Who Love Me Take The Train'. In July 2009, it was announced that Davey was attached to be in the Vertigo Films, big budget 3D Dance flick Street Dance.The film will commence shooting in August 2009 and will get its Theatrical Release in early 2010.
