Kurt Laughinghouse was an American soldier and politician from Minnesota who served as the 9th Mayor of Bloomington, Minnesota from 1988-1989. Career Military Laughinghouse served in the Vietnam War. He served in the army for nine years. when he retired from the army, he had achieved the rank of major. He later joined the veterans for peace. Politics Laughinghouse was on the school board for Bloomington. After that, He became mayor. He was known to some of his supporters as 'the people's mayor'. During his time as mayor, The Mall of America began construction. He served only one term as mayor. |
