Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra

Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra belongs to a family of social workers who for the last several generations have devoted their life for the development of the weaker section of the society by promoting educational activities in the region. Many educational institutions in Northern India were founded by his ancestors.
Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra worked in USSR for about six years to have the feel of the international changing scenario as Director, Vasp Group of companies. After disintegration of the USSR he worked as a consultant for a number of educational institutes and companies struggling for survival in the economically torn nation.
After coming back to India, Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra joined NICE Society as a promoter member. In the span of last twelve years he became one of the key team members for the development of different educational organizations in Northern India under the banner of NICE Society. Among the various institutions of NICE Society, one of the Engineering and Technical Institution (named as Shobhit Institute of Engineering & Technology) has been developed at village Gangoh, District Saharanpur of India along with an Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (named as Adarsh Vijendra Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences) and a 100 bed hospital (named as Kunwar Shekhar Hospital & research Centre) on his initiatives as a measure to develop the rural areas of the country. Acknowledging the non-tiring efforts of the core team of the organization and mission of developing quality professionals, the Central Government of India has declared Shobhit Institute of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, an institute developed by the Society in the historical city, Meerut, of Uttar Pradesh as a University under section 3 of UGC Act 1956.
At present, Kunwar Shekhar as the Pro-Chancellor of Shobhit University and Vice Chairman of the society is an untiring member of a team of professionals working whole heartedly for the development of need based technical and professional education in the country. Now he is looking towards developing the academic campuses of the university internationally, especially in the countries having a strong Indian Diaspora.
As the promoter member, Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra is also working on a project for providing medical facilities to the people in the rural areas of the country. He plans to generate quality human resource in the area of medical sciences and working on stepwise development of Para-medical and Medical Institutions.
Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra believes in communal harmony and national integrity. He is very actively involved with a number of social organizations working in this direction. Acknowledging his efforts in social areas he has been honored and been awarded a number of recognitions including Loins International Award 2006-07 for Selfless Service to Humanity.
Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra is a very active sports promoter. He is the Chief Patron and Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Body Builders Association which is an affiliated body of Indian Body Building Federation. For his dedication and contribution for Body Building as a sport in India, he has been awarded ABBF Gold Medal, 2008 by Asia Body Building & Fitness Federation, Singapore.
