Kuntal Chakraborty

Kuntal Chakraborty is an Indian sports journalist. The journalist from ABP News Group (formerly, Star News Group) has covered the Indian Cricket Team widely in last few years. After finishing his Mass Communications Degree from in Kolkata, Kuntal initially worked for Zee News for a year. Later he moved to Zee Sports in 2005 and worked in Mumbai and then shifted to Star News Group in 2008. Now based in Kolkata he has covered cricket in England, Australia, South Africa and other parts of the world.
His travelogue show in STAR Ananda "Ek Talite Africa" with Bengali news icon Suman De became popular during the Soccer World Cup.
The Sports Journalist from Star News has interviewed Sachin Tendulkar after his milestones like 50th Test Century and 13 Thousand Test Runs and 100th international centuries. Interviewed Viswanathan Anand following his World Title victories against Vladimir Kramnik and Vaselin Topalov. Interviews with Leander Paes following his US Open victory and Muttiah Muralitharan after his 800th scalp and Rahul Dravid following his controversial ODI retirement made headlines.
In 2012, on a couple of occasions Kuntal's revelations during India's tour of Australia was even covered in Aussie Media.
The journalist from ABP news has also covered the London Olympics in 2012 and Football world cup in Brazil in 2014 and World Cup cricket in 2015.
