Kuchangi prasanna

Kuchangi Prasanna is a journalist turned writer, born on 26th April 1966, in a village named Kaarekurchi, situated in a hilly stretch between Hathyalu and Kondli Cross, now in Gubbi taluk, Tumkur district, Karnataka, India. His father was an agriculturist later worked as a government servant. He spent his early years in his father's native Kuchchangi village, Tumkur taluk, Bisgod, Yellapur taluk, Uttara Kannada district. Studied in Bangalore, Tumkur. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree course with a natural science discipline. During his college days he took part in National Cadet Corps training and popular science movement like KRVP and BJVS, meanwhile actively participated in Karnataka Rajya Raitha Vidyarthi Okkuta a Student outfit of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha ie Farmers Union of karnataka headed by H.S.Rudrappa, N.D.Sundaresh and Prof. M.D.NanjundaSwamy.
Kuchangi Prasanna who interested in 'Do Nothing' Farmning of Mr. Fukuoka, involved in his patriarchal field in native village Kuchchangi, thereafter worked as a reporter in a local daily Praja Pragathi from 26 January 1988 for nearly a decade, and he became the in-charge of that press within couple of years because of his hard work. Simultaneously he worked with Socialist, Communist and Dalith Organisations. He involved with his like-minded friends to study Buddhism and took initiative to organise 'Bodhi Mandala' which is still now active in Tumkur.
In 1995-96, He started his own short lived Kannada Weekly Suddi Amoolya in Tumkur. It achieved fame as 'Lankesh of Tumkur. Then he worked as an editor for Sapna Book House, and went to Hassan to join hands with Janatha Maadhyama a local daily during 1999.
He was appointed to Jana Vahini a state daily, and worked as a reporter, sub-editor and to the extant of Chief Sub-Editor at its Bangalore headquarters from 1999 to 2001. He worked as a reporter to Bangalore Eveninger, Lankesh Pathrike and Hai Bangalore also.
He wrote a book called 'Tala Odeda Madake-ZEN Parichaya (An Introduction to Zen) in Kannada language, about in the year 2003. Now after 11 years of extensive study he authored 'IDU ZEN ALLA ( This is Not ZEN) more or less a Manual on Zen in Kannada language, released in Tumkur on 13 July 2014, which is appreciated by all leading News Papers.
