Kryterium

Kryterium is an American metal band from Boise, Idaho.
History
Michael Chaves, John Karber, and Troy Komula started the band in winter of 2005, along with former drummer, Justin. The band started reaching progress in the spring of 2006 and released an untitled demo with members Jacob Carley and Cliff Schramm.
Michael Harter joined the band in January 2007. In 2007, Kryterium was already playing on the main stage at the Milwaukee Metalfest XIX. Soon after, they won the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, which allowed them to play at the Van's Warped Tour 2007 in Idaho.
The band released their first album, "Control" on December 21, 2007 under local Boise independent label Triton Records. They played a couple of dates with All That Remains, Chimaira, and Divine Heresy to promote the album. In March 2008, their song, "Unlock The Gates", was a featured track on the collector's CD in Metal Edge Magazine. Then in Spring 2009, they opened for Mudvayne in West Palm Beach, Florida, followed by the 3rd Annual California Metalfest in Anaheim, California. Michael Harter partied with that dude from Slipknot soon after and Cody Weaver stepped in on guitar. In the summer Kryterium was the main stage at the Summer Slaughter Tour in Anaheim.
