Kortight Hills Public School is a public school for grades K-8. It is part of the Upper Grand District School Board. It is located on Ptarmigan road in Guelph, Ontario. The logo of the school is a cobra.
Sports and Athletics
The sports teams all called the Kortright Cobras, until sports teams were discontinued in favor of intramural sports, which ensure that all children have equal access to gym resources.In 2006-2007, the last year the school competed in sports they came first in volleyball and basketball. Led by the three main athletes, Patrick, Ben, and Noor. Kortright Hills is a feeder school to Centennial CVI which is known for their basketball and volleyball teams.
Playground Kortright Hills has a large playground, divided into Kindergarten and Junior areas. The playground includes both a blue and red climber. Over 40,000 dollars went into the construction of the playground. The playground also contains separate log and rock areas, a gulch, and a soccer field.
Building
The main building of the school is two stories high, with the younger grades on the bottom floor and the higher grades on the second floor. A gym and a library are also located on the bottom floor.
