Konthoujam Lairembi gi Khubam () or Konthoujam Lairembi Temple () is a three millennia years old ancient holy temple in a sacred banyan grove, which is the absolute abode of Goddess "Konthoujam Tampha Lairembi", the consort of Soraren, the Sky God in Manipuri mythology and Sanamahism (Manipuri religion). The temple is situated in Konthoujam village in Imphal West district, Manipur. The ancient temple of Konthoujam Lairembi gi Khubam is one of the oldest pantheon in the world. Legacy The temple complex is restricted to the joint entry of mother and her children, because the goddess Konthoujam Tampha Lairembi departs her son Khoriphaba, being separated by her consort Soraren, the Sky God in Manipuri mythology. Attractions * The major sites of tourist attractions in the historical site are the ancient stone inscription written in ancient Meitei script which is unable to be read by any script experts still today. * Two well adored ancient stone dragon boats with dragon oars are also installed in the pantheon premise. * Moreover, others include the entire giant banyan forest is originated from a single tree. * A small Brook is running near the ancient pantheon, which is around three millennia years old.
