About Founded in 1882, Knowle Village Cricket Club has been providing the community with an excellent sports facility and an extremely friendly and warm atmosphere at our Hampton Road home for over 130 years. The club currently play in the Warwickshire Cricket League on a Saturday, with the First XI situated in Division 2, while the Second XI off the back of promotion in the 2012 season are in the 1st Division. Both teams have undergone major resurgences in recent history, with a glut of promotions since 2007, when both teams were languishing in Division 5. The 3rd XI are currently in the single teams Warwickshire League Division and play at the Old Silhillians Ground. On a Sunday Knowle Village compete in The Arden Sunday League and have a 1st XI and a 2nd XI. The club runs junior teams in the Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 age groups. Club training is on a Tuesday night starting from the middle of April from 6.30pm until Cricket balls can no longer be seen due to the darkness. Over the last 10 years all captains past and present and the committee have worked especially hard to bring the standard of facilities to a rather impressive standard that all at the club are very proud to be able to have access to. The club has speant a lot of money to acquire new artificial nets, covers, refurbished changing rooms with en suite facilities, refurbished bar, refurbished kitchen and a refurbished club house that is a relaxed atmosphere. Knowle Village is a very friendly and sociable club with many adult and junior members. Throughout the year there are different social events including BBQs, club parties and golf days.
