Kisorsa is a village in northern Hungary. It is located in the county of Nógrád. The earliest archeological findings date from the 13th century CE, and include castle foundations and shards of ceramic pots. The origin of the name Kisorsa remains unclear. It may originate from the Hungarian kicsi (small) and orc (face), for the residents are known for their small faces, especially by their Slovak neighbors to the north. Kisorsa is largely agricultural, and its primary livestock is the llama. The village is also known for having one of the first established foosball (Hungarian: csocsó) leagues in the country.
