Kirrin Cottage is a fictional house in Enid Blyton's Famous Five series. The name is most misleading as the house appears to be quite large. Exterior The house is extremely old and it has large gardens. Aunt Fanny grows a lot of fruit in the garden and also keeps hens. Ground floor The house has a kitchen, scullery and larder at the back. All of the meals are eaten in the dining room, and the sitting room is used for relaxing. The other known ground floor room, apart from the hall and corridor, is Uncle Quentin's study - which is strictly off limits. First floor Fanny and Quentin have a bedroom, there are two for the children and one guest room, as well as the cook's attic room.
