Kikori Whiskey is a Japanese whiskey launched in 2015. Produced in Kumamoto, on the island of Kyushu in Japan. Kikori was founded, and is owned by Soh Spirits, LLC. Kikori is an 82 proof whiskey, aged from three to ten years in three types of barrels, American oak , French limousin and sherry casks. A stainless steel, single distillation process is used with polished rice as the grain. Kikori, which means “woodsman” in Japanese, takes its name from a story of "Visu" the woodsman. He is the protagonist in a cautionary Japanese folk tale about life without balance. Kikori Whiskey is currently distributed in California, Nevada, and Hawaii.
