Kick madden

Kick madden is a game that has been adapted from the EA Sports Madden series of NFL games. Quite simply the game is that each player can only kick (meaning punt or field goal attempt) when they receive possession of the ball. This forces the opposition to try to score through a either a punt return, kick return, field goal or fumble recovery. The aim of the game is to score more points than the opposition and use field position to your advantage. There are a number of rules that must be followed during play, if a player breaks a rule the opponent is given two offensive plays, after these plays the player must then kick (unless they have scored). Origins The idea was developed in Lancaster, England when games of Madden became a bit boring. Game settings and rules The full list of rules and settings are provided below. Game settings: * 1-minute quarters * All-Madden skill level * Teams selected at random Game rules :i. The team with possession of the ball must kick the ball (either Punt or Field Goal) unless their opponent has forfeited them 2 x offensive plays by committing any of the following: ::a. Failed to kick or attempt to kick when in possession of the ball. ::b. Kicked the ball out of bounds. ::c. Committed any kind of penalty. ::d. Made a faircatch on a punt. :ii. The team awarded the 2 x offensive plays will take them at the first opportunity following a change of possession ::e.g. if the penalty occurs as the half expires the plays will be taken in their first possession of the second half. ::e.g. if the penalty occurs when Team A is in possession and has offensive plays remaining Team B takes their awarded plays when they receive possession. :iii. A team must kick the ball after taking its 2 x offensive plays. :iv. The team in possession must take a time out between offensive plays if the clock is running. This preserves the clock. If no time outs are available their opponent or defensive team must sacrifice a time out. :v. All touchdowns must be followed by a 2-pt conversion attempt. :vi. At no point in the game must a player say "I need a turnover" or anything similar. These is no penalty against this violation, it is simply shunned.
