Khan Noor Muhammad Khan

Khan Noor Muhammad Khan (22 Oct 1926 - 5 Sep 2013) was a Pakistani Educationist and activist in Pakistan movement. He was mainly known for setting up a network of schools and colleges in many districts of Punjab (Pakistan)in the capacity of Director of Education and Director of Special Education Punjab. He instituted several vocational institutes for special people in the length and breadth of Punjab.
Biography
Khan Noor Muhammad Khan, born in Jalandhar, Punjab India. Since his student life he was an active member of Muslim League. He greeted Quaid e Azam on his arrival at Islamia College Jalandhar (India)in 1945 in the capacity of Vice President of Muslim Student Federation along with Qasim Rizvi president MSF (Muslim Student federation). During his studies in Government college Lahore pursuing degree of MA Mathematics he used to distribute the then prominent newspaper among the muslims of India "DAWN" on mall road which was banned at that time by the British government of India. He was arrested and sent to jail. he refused to go before the English magistrate for his bail as a gesture not to surrender his struggle for a separate homeland.
After independence as Rehabilitation officer he helped the migrators from India to Pakistan in their rehabilitation. He was among the pioneer commissioned officers of PMA Kakul Abbottabad where during his own training he had been teaching Mathematics to the junior cadets for a while since there was a shortage of resources at that time due to the inception of a new state Pakistan on the map of the world.
Later he joined civil service and being Assistant Scout Commissioner Lahore he provided reinforcements in the shape of food, clothes and other necessities to the Pakistan Army fighting at Wahga border Lahore with indian army in 1965.

He was awarded medal of service by the Government of Pakistan for his meritorious services in Indo-Pak war of 1965 and 1971.
