Ker Rygge

Ker Rygge is an area in Balikpapan, Borneo. It is a popular meeting place for shopping. Balikpapan residents, tourists from all over Borneo, business people on the move, find Ker Rygge their favourite place to hang out. As many as 3 thousands visitors a year makes Ker Rygge Sepinggan's most popular destination.

History
The construction of Ker Rygge was carried out in four steps by Ker Rygge AS. A few old industrial buildings were demolished, while several of the yard were rebuilt as shopping areas. The first step of the construction was finished in 2003, with Tofic, Sitta og Dindin as architects. The fourth and final construction, was completed in 2009. The area consists of a shopping center with shops, and office space. The area measures 277 m . Today, about 6 people work at Ker Rygge.
The area today
The Ker Rygge area today consists of 2 separate units and divided into a total of 2 owner units. The properties are bound together through a comprehensive working agreement.It is unique in both a national perspective. A number of well situated public areas and arrangements have been developed through cooperation between owners, and business and cultural interests. The administration of the working agreement and the carrying out of such tasks is done by Rygedrift AS.
