Keifer Brooks

Keifer George Brooks (born November 8, 1984 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian Basketball Player.
Keifer grew up from the age of twelve in the poverty stricken area of uptop Jane & Finch namely Gosford , Shoreham and Driftwood area where he honed his basketball skills at Driftwood Community Centre and became an aggressive guard with a lethal shot from 3-point range. Growing up in Jane & Finch gave him his never say die attitude and extreme passion on the court similar to that of Kevin Garnett.
He was a starter on every basketball team that he played for, Chaminade College School where he played with Current Canadian National Team Guard formerly of The University of Arkansas Razorbacks, Olu Famutimi before the high school star transferred to Flint, Michigan in Grade 10 . For his senior years He played for James Cardinal McGuigan where he had a break out season whiile averaging 18.0 points per game, which included several appearances in The Toronto Sun and on 's 25 point club. He was recruited by schools in Montreal, Toronto, and some across the border as well. Brooks decided to attend Wright State University in Ohio as they heavily recruited the young guard. However he decided due to the fact that they only offered him a half scholarship the tuition was too much to pay for a school that wasn't a top Division 1 school.
He also played for Curtis Mclean with the for a couple of seasons during his high school years in various tournaments where he received many accolades as the top player on those teams, one in particular the tournament held in Montreal which boasts future Canadian and American college stars every year. The won the tournament in 2003 and Brooks received All Star of the tournament.
When it became time for Brooks to choose a college from the many recruiting him he chose the top college in Canada at the time for basketball Humber College even though he new it would not guarantee him a starting job for the first time in his playing career. His first year on the team was less then enjoyable for Brooks and some of the other rookies on the team as they received little to no playing time playing behind All-Canadian all star sharp shooting guard . This gave Brooks more time to focus on his school work as his grades were suffering as many freshman introduced to the celebrity life of a college star do.
Brooks' Height is 5'10 he weighs 170 lbs and he started Humber College in 2003. For more articles on the Hawks sports teams see the
