is a Japanese business executive, the former representative director and vice president of Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (now, Panasonic) and educator. Career Kazuo Toda was born in Osaka in 1941. He graduated from Shiga University and joined Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (now, Panasonic) in 1964. He moved up through the ranks to the level of director in 1994, managing director in 1996, representative & senior managing director in 1999 and representative director & vice president of Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd in 2003. In 2007, He was appointed to outside director of , a major mail order company in Japan, in addition to adviser of the council, IAUD (International Association for Universal Design) and specially-appointed professor at Shiga University. In 2007, he became the principal of Bunka Gakuin and outside director of Askul Corporation. He served as specially-appointed professor at Kyoto Institute of Technology. and is honorary member appointed for life of Panasonic.
